I just received this blender today, and I've already used it. The first thing I noticed were the grooves in the bottles. They made it so much easier to grab and hold onto it with painful, arthritic hands!! Why didn't someone think about that before!? The blades seal very well to the bottle, but not too hard where it's difficult to remove them! The blender came packaged very nicely making it a very nice gift. I must say, I even like this one better than the heavier, more expensive Ninja! It's very powerful, and so easy to use and clean. I use this blender almost every morning for protein shakes. I love it so much. My only complaint is the drinking hole stopper on the top broke, so now the mug can't seal closed. Otherwise, it's quick in the morning and I rinse it out using a bottle scrubber. After reading other reviews I knew not to put it in the dishwasher. It's faster to clean than my blender or other dishes and the base is compact and easy to use. ... show more

    • HONEST REVIEW AFTER ONE MONTH ***with update**

At first I liked this little blender - it seemed to get the job done, but it’s quickly falling apart after just a few weeks of normal use. It does a good job at well “blending” whatever’s on the bottom, but if you add more ingredients in it doesn’t really stir and mix up to the top. So you have to keep stopping the blender to hand shake it and put it back on. Which isn’t a huge problem except for the seal leaks! So every time you shake it and move it, prepare yourself to have extra clean up. The lids are also breaking apart, so don’t expect to realistically use these much “on the go”. For $25 it’s really not worth it. I’ll be surprised if it lasts me six months, much less a year. Do yourself a favor and invest in something a little more expensive that will work better and last longer. I wish I would have! ****UPDATE*** This blender broke in less than three months! As mentioned, the little bottles were already falling apart (little plastic tabs breaking off, lid pieces falling off) in just weeks from normal use. I only used the blender to make simple smoothies and would stop and shake it up several times throughout (motor getting a break every 20-30 seconds), but it just made a weird noise and stopped working. I have a smoothie almost every day for breakfast, and was looking for an individual smoothie blender for this purpose. In the past I've used the Magic Bullet and a Ninja, and both worked well for my needs. This blender does not. The design is sleek, and I love that the base comes in different colors, including purple! The cup is pretty narrow. I usually make green smoothies with either spinach or kale. This cup is too narrow to push down the greens with my hand. Once I had the greens and fruit and liquid in the cup, the blender only blended half the ingredients, and the spinach stayed unblended. Ingredients, including amount of liquid, were the same that I've always used in making smoothies with any other blender. This might be fine if you're just using fruit and liquid, but for a green smoothie, it didn't work for me. ... show more

I've bought this blender kit twice, not because the first one broke, but because its inexpensive enough to buy a second one, which I wanted at work. The compact design doesn't take up much space and it makes just enough for one large serving. Another selling point was I figured if my co-workers want to use it, the could likely afford their own component pieces; a separate and blade attachment.
