Works perfectly for what I needed. Our dogs right rear leg has about 30 staples / stitches and and we needed to have them covered as she heals - this won’t be a good way to keep it completely clear of licking moisture but it does a great job of protecting the bandages and her wound. I loved this color. Unfortunately when I opened the package I realized the fabric was just too thin to be able to retain our dog from chewing his wound. So I went with another cover up. I cannot attest to the sizing because I never tried it on our dog once I felt the fabric. I gave 4 stars because it was not workable for our dog but it was nice and maybe for someone else’s dogs problem it would work. ... show more

My dog had a TPLO procedure on his left hind leg. He was sent home with an Elizabethan Collar and we were instructed to keep it on at all times in order to prevent him from licking his wound, which could lead to infection and further complications. Needless to say, he was MISERABLE. We tried PJs, which didn’t fit. We tried an inflatable collar which he hated and it didn’t work anyway. After much searching, we found this post-surgical suit. We ordered two sizes - the XL and the L. The L was a perfect fit. It was an easy adjustment and the perfect solution - allowing me to sleep through the night. His wound was protected and he healed beautifully. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this for your dog if you are looking for an effective and comfortable alternative to the cone. ... show more

So the size chart was accurate. I needed this to help with a hot spot she kicks from time to time. Easy to put on your dog and take off. Seems comfortable and it’s a nice material Overall it works as I needed it too. Better than other I have tried.

    • Good alternative to wearing a "cone"

My English Setter had surgery on her thigh. We needed to keep her away from the wound for two weeks. While we have used a "cone" most of the time she is alone, for just sitting around the house, this seems to be a more comfortable alternative. Seems lightweight, easy to move in.
