Features

  • FABULOUS SOUND: Our electric bass can deliver brighter sound and a more powerful mid-range growl owing to J type 2 single-coil pickups. The mahogany body makes this electric bass tone become richer, which is perfectly suitable for rock metal
  • OUTSTANDING TONE DISPLAY: Adapted with passive pickups, this 4-string rock bass has pure sound and a good distortion effect, which can play variable musical styles. The surface coating design of strings makes string tension larger therefore you can play a more stable and smooth sound
  • HUMANIZE DESIGN: 1.4" nut width and 9.5" fretboard radius are the right sizes for kids and adults alike. The turning knobs are made of premium chrome so that can maintain a mirror-like shine for a long time
  • FANSATIC HAND-FEELING: Made of premium rosewood, this fretboard of the 4-string bass guitar features smooth touch and hard texture in order to better hand-feeling and durability. Compared to ordinary bass, our bass neck adopts a C-shaped design for a more comfortable experience
  • SUITABLE FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS: Coming with a complete set, this bass guitar is no assembly required which is a great choice for beginners and experienced musicians of all levels. A portable bag with a convertible nylon strap supports you to carry it in different ways

Fantastic for the price!!!!! This scale length can’t quiiite handle the low E. It gets floppy. I put the top four of a six string bass set on it, ADGC. Much better. One fret edge was sharp. Took a nail file to it. Fixed. Easy. Intonation and action expectedly wonky out of the box, that’s a quick enough job. At the end of the day, if you set it up properly you have a totally great bass that’s a very very cool size. Definitely different. Not just for kids. Great travel bass. Pickups are more on the retro side, not as bitey or modern more vintagey. Just fyi. It’s a great sound. Bass looks awesome too, such a great shape. For the price - AAAAAAA+++++++ ... show more

  • It has no business being this good for $72?!

First ever review. Absolutely fantastic! For the price, hell forget the price! I have been having so much fun playing this. Micro bass, 2 octave guitar length scale, sounds great, did I mention fun? Considering price paid, set up is decent, still adjusting details, but better than passable out of the box. Looks - Red looks awesome, matte finish, sweet. Build - Solid, no issues, and it has some hefty to it, in a good way, for the size. Sound - Played thru a 300 watt bi amped Carvin 2-10, 1-15 stack, boom! Overall - Just love playing this thing, makes me smile every time. Nice to sit in front of the TV and noodle/practice. Definitely worth the price paid, $59.99, $19.99 shipping, 10% coupon? Done and done. Accessories - Cheap, cheap bag, cheap strap, shockingly good cord? Short, 10'? braided jacket, what? ... show more

  • It's so frickin' awesome!
Color: Red
I will start this review by saying I am not a bass player. I am a guitarist of 33 years, and a drummer for even longer. I have a small studio and have owned several bass guitars through the years. I play good enough to confidently play my own bass tracks in the studio. With that said, I am in the process of recovering an album and needed some bass. I had chosen a nice 5 string that was significantly more expensive than this one. However, I ran across this guy about a year ago and for some reason I just couldn't get it out of my mind. Last second, I decided to trust my gut and purchased this Ktaxon short scale bass and man, I'm so glad I did! This thing is so awesome! It is tiny! I play Fender strat style guitars so the 25.5 inch scale length sounded great to me, but when I opened the box there were no words! It is so small! Upon initial inspection, it looks good. It does have some flaws, but it was only $59. Flaws are to be expected. There are no sharp frets. The back of the neck is kinda rough, but a lite sanding took care of that. The jack plate doesn't quite fit the curve of the body. I removed it and bent slightly to fit the body better. The red finish is flawless. It is a matte finish with no pore fill so you can feel the grain. It says the body is mahogany, but the grain looks just like ash to me. Who knows? It was not in tune so I tuned it up. The tuners feel a little loose. I may replace them. The action is somewhat high. The intonation isn't even close, and the neck has a little too much relief. I then let it acclimate overnight. The neck straightened out close to perfect. A little tweak on the truss rod and it is good. I adjusted the saddles and set the intonation. All of this took roughly 15 minutes. I have to say, it is one of the best playing bass guitars I've had the pleasure of playing. The strings are super heavy so the bass tunes to standard tuning. No string flop whatsoever! The pickups sound like bass single coils. 2 volume and 1 tone. It has a lot of versatility. I threw a strap on it and it is perfectly balanced. No neck dive. I don't own a bass amp. I record direct with amp simulators. I plugged it into my guitar amp just for the fun of it. A Vox AC20 clone. Kicked the fuzz and the phaser pedals on and just cracked up laughing at how awesome this little bass is! My studio is a tiny space so the scale of this bass is perfect. I figured I could save money on a case as well. Instead of a bass case, I could throw it in a normal guitar case. I put it in my Gator Deluxe Tweed case and it just swallows it. Too big! I will have to figure out a case for it. The bag, strap, and cable that came with it are garbage. The only thing I don't like about it is it has the Glarry logo on the head which is not in the pics. Ugly logo poorly screen printed in white. I will remove that and then it will be perfect. I highly recommend this bass! I can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a new piece of gear! ... show more

  • Yes!!
Color: Red
I got this little Bass yesterday afternoon. I couldn't put down I got it in tune and just played it sitting in the recliner all night. I was actually surprised how small it really is!! The scale length is longer than Fenders electric tele/strat but the overall length is shorter than a Strat. I dont have a Les Paul, but i feel its the same size. This reminds me a SG. The fit and finish is better than the lower end offerings from Fender. The strat/pbass pack, starcaster, debut series. Yeah this little bass is a few steps above those. There was only one little bit of a fret on the thumb side that you could just barley feel when running your hand along the side of the fret board, and i mean just barley. took about 3 swipes of emory board to fix that. Um intonation was not 100%, but damn close, didnt take much adjustment at all. the fret board was flat, no adjustment needed. Some one sat this up at the factory. also the strings were slacked, so that good. The action was a bit to high for my prefrence, but still usable right out of the box. The accessories are just an extra. I dont have any use for any of it, i mean picks are ok i suppose, but medium to light so not really what you want to play the Bass with, if you feel you need a pick? Its a Bass, use your fingers, and thump it with your tumb. The fret board could use some oil. The finish is kind rough, like they didnt finish shaping the body perfect, and there is a lot of grain, obviously they didnt spend much time sanding the wood before paint, what ever, its a Bass. I do have to say that this red is the color this Bass should be!! Its like a flat fire engine red. I almost got the natural wood so i could finish it how ever i want. But that red is perfect for it. This little bass is so awesome. I got it becuase i dont have a bass, and my 6 year old says she want to play the bass so win win!! Mine says Glarry on the head stock oh man it also has a wonderful feather joint at the head stock. this reminds me of an Iceman mixed with an SG if your on the fence about this wonderful little bass, just buy it!! This would also look amazing in a royal or grape purple with the same matte finish ... show more
