  • Perfect for the price.
I own many guitars and basses and I have to say for the price this bass is perfect. I saw a lot of negative reviews but really wanted a six string. Feels good, plays good, sounds good through my home set up. Very slappable and plenty of room for my fat fingers. I wouldn't say a six string bass is for beginners but if its your cup of tea this is def a good deal. It even came a day early. :] ... show more

  • MUCH better than expected!
I love this bass. It sounds great, the action is MUCH better than I expected. Easy to play, and to really get interesting sounds from. It is very inexpensive for what it is, and I am very pleased with my purchase. I have it tuned to B E A D G C, and I really love the extended range on this. I can play bass parts and/or I can back the lead guitarist and play some convincing rhythm-guitar type power chords when I need to as well... Not bad at all... ... show more

  • Really nice bass!!!
I bought this to pair with an Ibanez 5-string I have and wanted to get a bass that gave me a higher sonic range. This was perfect right after the tune-up! I won't say too much about this bass because it works perfect for me. There are other reviewers who can help with deep dive breakdowns. But if you know what you want, and you want an Ibanez 6-String? This is definitely one you should add to your axe collection! ... show more

  • Best bang for the buck
I had it professionally tuned. The bass is amazing for the price, however note: you will need to adjust this frequently as the neck/truss rod are not as solid as on many other higher end models...if you can do this yourself, then you have a nice gig bass. The Knobs...yes, many knobs controlling both the front/back and everything in between...you wont find this on any bass at this price point. I was able to tune for slapping/hammer-ons...lovely. Overall - great bang for the buck on a budget. The finish I actually like and that is totally an opinion based off what I like to see...so its totally subjective. ... show more

  • Great value, teacher approved and reccomended
This is absolutely the best begginer bass ever! Ibanez really clutched the design on this one, its clean and professional looking, very functional and mine played perfect right outta the box!

  • It is a really great product.
It is a really great product. I enjoy it. The only reason why I marked 3 stars for the "For Beginners" is a 6 String Bass Guitar isn't for beginners.

  • Great guitar!
The strings needed to be tightened and I’m still fixing it but otherwise it’s really nice! Looks beautiful and expensive!

  • Best value I could find
Great action. The range is great from the rumbling lows to bright highs. Great for slapping. One of the best bass guitars for the money I’ve played. I do get some buzzing when playing the lower notes but that can be fixed with a little adjustment.
