Beds in the past have not lasted my super shredder of a pup. So far this one she just wants to lay in and get cozy. For this 80lbs girl the bed is size XL and fits in her crate perfectly. The “warm” side is soft and fuzzy which is perfect for cooler nights but as we move towards summer we will be flipping it to the “cool” side. The outer cover zips off easily for machine wash ability leaving the bed in a zip waterproof cover. I got this mat for my lab's crate ...it fits perfectly to size, and seems very durable and tough to chew. I just got it, but was impressed with it right away.....she seems comfortable laying on it, and if you let it sit out flat for a day or two, once you get it out of the packaging, it will 'pouf' up and ends up being a comfortable, plush mat/ bed, about 3 inches thick. Its the perfect mat for a crate. I will report back after we use it for a couple weeks, but she has not nibbled the edges ( so far) the canvas side seems like it would wipe clean very well and the other side has kind of a plus covering, for colder weather. Have had this bed for over a month now and it is holding up extremely well. The foam cushion is egg crate foam, in case you are not a fan, but it would be easy to replace, and I think the covers alone are worth the price. My puppy has a bad habit of marking pillows and blankets by peeing on them, so of course as soon as I put this in her crate she had to initiate it, to my surprise, clean up was incredibly easy. Fabric side up, the liquid pooled rather than soaked through to the next layer, so it didn't spread too much and was easy to wipe up, and a quick wash left it good as new. Not sure this would be true on the fur lined side, but at the very least the waterproof cover underneath should still prevent it from soaking to the foam, and is also easy to wipe clean. The foam has not deflated since we started using it, but when removing from the package, make sure to take the time to fully plump and expand the foam, otherwise it will stay flattened ... show more

    • Inside liner unravels and comes apart when washed.

Everythong was great except the zippered liner for the cushion. The edges of the silky material unravel when washed and comes unsewed.. I would have submitted a pic but have already sewed back together and serged the edges to prevent any more unraveling.

    • Changed inside foam!
I’ve ordered 2 of the largest size in this bed. They had thick foam and have lasted, even with being on the covered back porch. So I came back to order a bed for my new pet. The outside cover is the same, but now there is cheap, thin, egg crate “foam” on the inside. Very disappointing!

I have purchased four of these beds. Two are outside in dog houses and two are inside during winter. My dogs weigh about 65 lbs. each. I purchased the large size to fit wire crates, if I had to crate them. These beds hold up better than any other brand I’ve purchased. They are nice and thick and do not squish down flat like others do. Looks like I’m going to have to buy a small one as my cat steals a bed from one of the dogs. She IS the queen here! The covers wash nicely. I would not consider buying any other brand now. I can only think of pros and no cons about these dog beds. Definitely worth the money. ... show more

    • Foam extremely flat
Bought the same product 4 months ago, but dog had an accident in crate which we were unable to clean the pad cover so tossed it out. It fits nicely in the crate and is thick enough to provide cushioning, so we bought another. Totally disappointed. It came rolled up and flattened which we know is ok because once allowed to air opened up the foam fills out and it’s nice. Not this time. The foam is extremely compressed and I cannot get it to fill out and be cushioning. I allowed it over night 16 hrs and then in dryer on very low setting to maybe ‘inflate’ thd goam but nothing. It’s just a firm piece of foam with fingers (the pressure point foam that they cut) and is hard and offers almost no cushioning. So very disappointing…would not recommend. ... show more
