I bought this so that I could double-up the seams on a brand new aquarium. It was pretty easy to use. A lot of reviews discuss the smell - yes, there is a strong odor initially so you should use this in a very well-ventilated area.

I should have read the fine print with this one. Most silicone says fully cured within a week, and this one takes 3 weeks before you can use it and it's not any cheaper for that inconvenience. So if it's tested and leaking in 21 days, the process starts all over. It also didn't go on very smoothly and I was working within the 5 minute time period. Two days later the tank still smells like vinegar so it's indeed very slow to cure. I'm considering scraping this off and going with a brand that won't make my project last a month. I'll chalk this up as money lost and lesson learned. Not all silicone is created equally. Read and research everything thoroughly before purchase. ... show more

Received quickly. Just used 10 days ago. Worked just like the 100% silicone from the hardware store. I did notice less fumes. It says that it is supposed to be fine for fish tanks so maybe that is why there are less fumes so that is good. The stated cure time says 21 days but I don't think that's right. At a week I didn't smell it curing anymore so I bet it's fine. Giving it a few more days just in case. The fish store wanted $32 for the same tube so I feel that this is a great price!
