I ordered this to serve as a cover for the reception area at my wedding. It was an outdoor lakeside wedding in Olympia, WA and the reception was held in the driveway between two garages that were close to 60 feet apart. I wanted to have that area covered just in case (we live in rainy Washington after all!). Sure enough, it was raining the day of our wedding so everything was moved to the driveway area. We nailed this tarp to one of the garage roofs then stretched it across to the other garage, with a center support rope. It is VERY heavy so it required many nails, but even with the wind and the rain, it held up very well and kept my wedding dry. The grommets are strong and the edges are reinforced with cord so even if the nails ripped part of the tarp, it was held in place by the extra reinforcements. It is a very durable thickness---I never felt any mist or moisture come through the material, yet it was thin enough to allow natural light through. Very pleased with the size and durability of this tarp. The price, even with shipping, is better than any local store I found could offer, and if needed, I would order it again for the same purpose. ... show more

This is a cheaply made tarp. No idea how it has so many good reviews. I opened it and immediately was disappointed. The weave of the tarp is visible. It does not seem to be water proof in the slightest. It’s very very thin and I do not think it would stand much wear and tear. I am sending it back. I was suspicious it as to how it was so relatively cheap but now I see why. It is cheaply made. It looks like my old tarp after a few years of use and aftee strands of the weave come loose. This wouldn’t protect a thing from water and the elements. Not durable. Not water resistant. Not worth a dime. ... show more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. This tarp was poorly made, defective, and thin. The eye holes ripped off, they were not spaced evenly, the major seems on the tarp all ripped and came apart. This was all while trying to use it as a cover to keep the sun off during an outside event and I barely made it through the event when the whole tarp ripped into three separate pieces. Very disappointed I could not return this for a refund because I was past the 30 day limit even though I only bought the product early so I would not be scrambling at the last minute to buy one. We purchased this tarp in order to cover our boat for the winter. We are very disappointed in the quality of this expensive tarp. It is very thin, paper thin, very easy to tear. It has no durability and I will be surprised if it lasts the season let alone a year.
