I have a rescue dog whom I have found to be untrainable as far as bathroom habits are concerned. I had been placing her in a crate which she hated and vocally complained all Tate time. She was so agitated that she lost three front teeth chewing on the wiring of her first crate. This new one is tolerable for her because it provides more room to move around. Also the bars are larger and vertical only so she is unable to chew and lose additional teeth. Additionally, the crate/table is attractive. We purchased this crate to assimilate our new rescue into the home. It was relatively easy to put together- took two of us. While I wish it was made out of real wood (nothing purchased online ever is), the final product is sturdy. The hardware, including the bars and frame are a nice wrought iron looking finish. The faux wood grain appearance is attractive in our space. We placed it next to the bed and use it as a night stand. The mat that comes with it is simply a two sided fabric inlay with one side made of a liquid resistant type of material. This cannot be used as padding for the crate. We bought a waterproof crate cushion from PetCo which fit perfectly as this crate is a standard size. It is pretty heavy once put together. Turns out our rescue hates crates and is a senior dog so we are unlikely to change that behavior. She became pretty frantic in the crate and did her best to get out but was not able to create any damage to the crate. We no longer crate her as she has proven not to need it. I bought this for my dog as an upgrade from her first crate, and she bent the sliding door so much that I just took it off. The metal isn’t super sturdy as she was able to bite/bend it. The size is great,Easy to clean and looks amazing. She is comfortable without the sliding door lol.

This crate was easy to put together, and it fit seamlessly into our decor. It’s tough when you have a new puppy to integrate your lifestyle with theirs and this makes it seamless. It was very easy to put together. I had an issue with one part that was not shipped but the sellers promptly sent it out so it was not an issue. My dog which is labrador retriever loves this crate and she finds refuge in it even though she’s not necessarily crate trained at this point. Listing states that this crate is suitable for dogs up to 70 pounds. Mine is well under the 70 pound mark and there is no way that I would be comfortable with her in this crate. She can barely turn around and has to scrunch to lay down. My two cats, however, fit great....so it fits an animal under 30 pounds perfectly (that's less than HALF of the advertised amount). The crate itself is horrible. It uses the cheapest materials possible. Cheap Walmart quality "wood" and hollow metal pieces that are barely attached. The barn style door is not secure at all and could EASILY be pushed out in the bottom corner (again, even my cat was able to push out that corner and get out. It would be zero match for a dog. Only a dog would get hurt from the cheap materials scratching them). Tried to return this awful crate. Amazon says sure awesome, the seller will provide a lable within 2 days. The seller provided a lable all right. A lable that makes ME have to pay return shipping on this piece of junk, despite the fact that I had already been told when I first initiated the return that it would be free to return. Save yourself the time and headache and purchase from somewhere else. ... show more
