The sharpness was INTENSE! I was (not carefully- my own fault) unboxing and sliced my finger open! But that's what you want from new knives!! The matte black looks great in our kitchen with new appliances! These are a good value for the money with the sharpener included and a new pair of quality scissors (makes you realize how dull your old ones are!) There were some noticeable water spots after dishwasher but that could be fault of dishwasher so I'll just hand wash moving forward. ... show more

The price was amazing and the ratings too. I’m so glad I purchased these even though they were nothing like I wanted. The black holder is very stable and does not take up much space. The knives are very sharp and I’ve used all of them plus having the sharpener is a real bonus! I do not run them through the dishwasher even though they are dishwasher safe. No rust issues but I’ve only had them 2 weeks but I doubt that will be an issue. Recommend these!! ... show more

These are frighteningly sharp so if you are clumsy like myself, be very careful. They clean up easy, the knife block absolutely does not move. You can't go wrong with these.
