i got this because neutrogena decided they would rather have us give our money to other companies rather than continue selling their most successful product. this has most of the same ingredients as that one. however, it also has extra ingredients like peppercorn and Limonene. these don't seem to do much except irritate my scalp a little, but not so much that it's a problem as long as i only use this every few days. i wish they would make another version without those extra stuff. ... show more

I use this stuff religiously. I don't wash my hair but once a week sometimes longer, so I get a lot of build up on my scalp, and I hate it... When i do wash my hair I use my normal shampoo and conditioner and then finish with KMS deep cleanse shampoo, scrub my scalp and let it sit for a minute and then rinse it, I can definitely tell my scalp gets so much cleaner and works great. ... show more

My hair stylist recommended this for one of my kids because her hair had A LOT of build up in it and chlorine damage. I used it on her 2x/week for a few weeks and he hair finally feels soft and very clean. I had been using the Neutrogena Clean shampoo as well, but this one blows the other ones away. I struggle with dandruff which causes me to wash my hair every other day and dries out my hair. My stylist told me I should try a clarifying shampoo to remove the buildup causing my dandruff to worsen. I use this once a week and I can now go longer in between hair wash days. Wife loves this stuff and calls it hair crack. She has long thick dry hair and when she uses this stuff it gives her a nice shine which saves money hair dresser treatments. Im a head n shoulders guy and have issues with 34 dollar bottles of shampoo but it does make her hair look phenomenal and happy wife happy life.
