This cup, my friends, is a good cup. It is forged by a modern samurai by the name of Robert Seals. Locals of Chico, California say he molds the metal bare handed. A power granted to him by the lava gods for creating a cup powerful enough to finally quench their thirst. Others say he is from an age of gods and mortals and has waited until 2002 to tell everyone "YOU ARE DRINKING WRONG." The true story is he is actually an Argonaut who was thought to be long dead but was put to sleep by the Nereids. They kept him in a hibernation state. Until their food was fished to extinction and they passed away. This awoke Robert Seals. He didn't know what was happening, so he searched for the descendant of King Pelias to fulfill his/her wishes. The descendant of Pelias happens to be a single mother in Chicago. The day Roberts Seals found her she was washing dishes. When he rang the bell it startled her and she broke a cup, cut herself, and her dog started chewing one of her kid's plastic cups. She answered the door and he said while getting on one knee. "I am the great Argonaut Robert son of Seals. I am here to do your bidding. What do you ask of me?" The descendant replied "you can started by getting me some better cups." These are my husband's favorites. We got two for the Motorhome and bought two more for home. I just throw them in the dishwasher at home but they are easy to easy in the sink too.

Another person using the cup for something it wasn't designed to do... And it works perfectly fine. The cup doesn't tip over from the weight of the toothpaste tube. What I really hated was the leftover adhesive from the tape and stickers. It was a pain to clean off.

    • A Great Replacement for the OXO Grinder Plastic Container
I used this Klean Kanteen Steel Cup to replace the plastic container on the OXO coffee grinder. The OXO plastic container was too short and plus the static electricity caused some of the coffee grinds to fly out onto the counter. This steel cup is just the right size to fit instead of the too-short plastic container. Now there are no coffee grinds flying out! Very happy with this. ... show more

Not insulated so it transfers the temp of any fluid inside. Great to have in a hiking bag or the camping gear.

    • why buy a steel cup?
I'll going to simply put that it keeps the liquid you put in it cooler. I don't know why but it just does. Maybe that's why the army uses Canteen's for their daily use in the field. I used it while on my juice fast because, I would using a cup a lot and I didn't would one that would stain easily and was hard to wash. This was a win/win for me and it looks nice too. Last but not least DON'T leave it out of your sight at work or school or people will steal it. I'm not bitter but if they would of just asked... Just glad I bought a spare and never took it out the house. ... show more

These are a good weight and better for lady hands (smaller) than a glass pint. I hate giant man-cups, or refilling kid-size cups all the time, neither happens with these.

It is a good stainless steel cup but there are two things you should be aware of. Fist is that it transfers heat extremely well so don't use it for hot beverages. Second thing is the lip of the cup is rolled over and liquid can get underneath it and run down your chin while drinking. Overall a good alternative to plastic. ... show more
