  • Already rusting
Color: Black
If anything touches raw meat I always wash it and put it in the dishwasher, if it’s said to be dishwasher safe. Apparently these were not, even though they said they were because they already started to rust and I’ve had them for about a week

  • I hate to admit it
Color: Red
I have been a consumer activist for decades, with a keen eye for quality, or lack of it. My instinct was that this cheaply priced item was just cheap; but I bought it in spite of my suspicion. Well, much to my utter amazement, my wife thinks it's great. I give 5-star products like this no more than 4-stars, however, because too often the 5-star category is polluted from the prejudices of company friends, family, and employees. ... show more

  • RUSTED after 1 hand wash.
Color: Black
My scissors started rusting after ONE hand wash. Given that these are kitchen scissors, they should be fine being used to cut meat, fish, vegetables, etc. and especially should be fine being hand washed after use. I am about to throw them out. Don't recommend this pair of scissors - find another pair! Grip and cutting ease are good. Customer service: please fix your quality control. ... show more

  • The Best Kitchen Shears
Color: Black
These are the best Kitchen Shears I've ever had. I just ordered two more for myself since my pair is now in the camping equipment for keeps. I also bought a pair for my bf, who's kitchen shears suck and won't cut paper, let alone chicken bones or plastic packaging. They cut through anything, seriously, and last a good long time. I've had a pair for 4 years, use them at least a couple of times per week, and they still look and cut like brand new. They also go in the dishwasher, I put them in the silverware rack on the bottom shelf. Great Product. ... show more

  • Solid, Durable & Cut Dependably
Color: Black
This is my second pair & am still using the first which I've had for about 8 years. Bought another one because I frequently use the first one outside. It's great for cutting grass sod & plastic sheeting. Really anything. My wife wasn't keen on me bringing the old pair back into the kitchen. And at my age I've found it's good to have more than one of something that you use & temporarily lose frequently. The scissors feel solid & the blades don't bend. My medium sized hand fit naturally & comfortably into the handle. This is important if you're doing a lot of cutting & don't want blisters or cramps. Also allows for better leverage/power. Above all, the best thing is that these scissors cut every time. ... show more

  • Not so great !
Color: Black
Sorry, and yes, I have read great review, after great review, after agreat review, but my experience here was not so great. After receiving these shears, I noticed that the shears did not feel particularly great in the hand. I overlooked it. Then a day or so later, I had a plastic bag to cut (just a bread bag), and the shears did not make it through the cut. Rather than cutting cleanly, through the entire length of the blade, they cut for maybe 2" - 2 1/2", then the bag just became pinched between the blade tips. That is not good, so I tried again. Same results. Next I tried a simple table napkin (only 2 thicknesses), same results. Shears cut cleanly for a couple of inches, then they just pinched the napkin between the blade tips. Again, bad. Then I tried snipping a piece of cotton kitchen twine. Well, forget that. These shears don't understand snipping, nor do they do it. I had to return them and look for something better. Also, the reason that so many people are complaining about these shears rusting is simple, "THEY ARE NOT STAINLESS STEEL". If you don't believe, try this, but remember - MAGNETS DO NOT ADHERE TO STAINLESS STEEL. Hmmm ? Any magnet will adhere to my shears - that tells me that either I got a pair of "knock-offs", or, somebody lied......these are not stainless steel ! ... show more

  • Great scissors for the garbage
Color: Black
I don’t get how these scissors get any stars more the one: they’re garbage. If I were KitchenAid—that’s assuming they aren’t counterfeit— I’d be concerned about brand damage. Seriously, they don’t even cut paper. I’ve tried using them for everything from cutting chives to trimming thin vinyl. They don’t cut. You know how sometimes you have to put pressure on scissors when using by pulling your thumb towards your palm to make ‘loose’ scissors work? Yeah, nothing works with these. I bought them to replace old kitchen scissors I’ve had for years that were becoming a little loose. They’re still functional so I moved them to my garage to use them there, but since I just threw these ‘KitchenAid’ scissors away, I’m moving the old ones back into the kitchen. The scissors were cheap to begin with, but they’re cheap for a reason. What irritates me more than the money, is being duped by what I believe to be bogus reviews. ... show more

  • Comfortable, sharp, durable
Color: Black
My husband has bent so many kitchen tools, which is why I had to buy new scissors. He’s banned from these because they’re so nice, but I doubt he could do much damage. They’re very sturdy, comfortable to hold, and seem ambidextrous (hubs is a lefty). Definitely my favorite kitchen shears that I’ve owned ... show more
