  • Great value for the price
Color: White and Natural
Small enough to fit into the space I needed but still has plenty of room for storage!

This little Kitchen Island cart is somewhat hard to RATE, but easy to review. There is a lot to know, but I will try to break it out into categories and be short and to the point. ( I do NOT rate on packaging or shipping, but understand that it is rather heavy and will likely have a damaged box) OPENING: I was VERY VERY impressed with how all the parts were labeled and the instructions. The hardware was all in bags with stickers identifying them for the instructions. So you grab "Panel 3 and 7" and use "screw J" to connect them. VERY CLEAR. Mostly everything was in good shape, well manufactured with good quality control and very good tolerances. Just a few small dings you would have to look for to find. 8/10 for that. ASSEMBLY: I put it together in about 1-1.25 hours, mostly on my own, with a second set of hands a few times when needed. Mostly I didn't look at the instructions, but had someone looking at them tell me what was next, and SHE thought they were easy to understand too. (PLEASE NOTE that I am a builder by trade, and am very skilled with tools. I used a impact driver to drive almost every fastener, but I do NOT recommend that you do if you don't understand how much to tighten things and don't have excellent trigger control) On the whole, everything made sense and went together fairly smoothly. Note that they DID include a small allen wrench for a bunch of the larger screws, but I found that a T-25 torx bit fit really well and used that. I only found ONE factory-damaged spot; one of the holes where a cam connector goes. The particle board was cracked slightly there. You can just make it out in the picture. Overall, assembly was good, and I had no issues. 9/10 LOOKS: All things considered, it looks pretty good, from a distance. It is all pretty tight and clean looking. Nothing wobbles that shouldn't. The idea is good, and the shelf flips up nice and even, and is sturdy; also easy to flip down. Castors are good enough and roll easily on the hard floor, and decent on carpet. There is plenty of space to put stuff, but the design is such that the drawer is shorter than it could be so that it doesn't hit the electrical outlet. Up close, you can tell that nothing is SUPER high quality, which in some way I think I had hoped it would be. It is NOT solid wood anywhere, only covered particle board and MDF. Meaning just different thicknesses of sawdust and glue. The "wood" top is nice looking, but not "real wood", just a banded wood product of some type. Basically, I think this is PROBABLY good quality for 2025, but I was hoping for solid wood quality of pre 1980s... 5/10 OR 9/10 depending on your expectations. FINAL THOUGHTS, GOOD AND BAD: -- The screws for the drawer and doors handles are TOO SHORT. They work, but are super easy to strip. I will be finding slightly longer ones. -- The hinges for the doors are... Well the oddest plastic pivots I have ever seen. Might last, but I don't see them lasting a week if children or adults are rough on the doors... -- The cart handle, which doubles as a towel rack, is pretty sturdy and had good bolts to attach it with, BUT! The description of it is always and only as a PUSH handle. So perhaps it will not take the abuse of pulling the cart around? -- The drawer went together fine, but the predrilled holes for the for the back panel were over drilled ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Meaning that you could just keep tightening the screws all the way through. I didn't, and since the drawer is INSIDE, I don't think it will fall apart. But I found that poor quality indeed. (see the pic) -- Don't overload the inner shelf. -- I was impressed that when you flip the outer shelf up, it is VERY level with the top. No sag (see pic) and was ALMOST perfect in alignment. The crack does get wider on one side, and it's not perfectly in line, but decent (see pics) -- The outlet on the top is for things like coffee makers and tea kettles.... and it IS RATED to 12 amps, so they got that right too! Should do fine with a couple things plugged in, but maybe not running at the same time if both are high amperage. I do wish the plugs were covered, or just around the side would be best. -- The one pictures shows the leftover "extra" hardware. Overall this little "tea station" (that's its use for me!) is pretty nice and probably at the right price point for nowadays ($100~). I think that the quality is slightly better than expected, but that I am slightly disappointed because I was thinking it would be a real wood top. If (when?) it starts to wobble or fall apart, I may just change on the top for real wood, and glue and screw everything together. That should let it last for much longer. With hesitation, but mostly for personal reasons, YES, I do recommend this rolling kitchen island! -- I only review items I personally use. Never just an opened package opinion. Hope this is helpful!-- ... show more
