Love kingroon, been using for years; use hundreds of kgs a month of their brand. Prints well on prusa and bambu, extrudes nicely, and fast shipping and cheap per kg. Only gripe is that colors vary drastically from batch to batch.

    • Bad ugly prints: review update fantastic prints

Edit I reviewed this roll a while back and kept it to remind me not to order this bran again. Well I bought a Bambu X1C and needed this color for a print. This has just been sitting on a shelf in the basement, exposed and gathering dust. I loaded it up expecting to have to tear apart the printer and AMS, or at best just replace the cold plate sticker. Instead I found a beautiful print. I printed out a couple little skull keychains and they were perfect. No stringing, no blobs. I put the roll back on my Ender 3 and the print was garbage. I tried it on my kobra plus and the print stuck to the glass bed bad. Tore off part of the top of the bed removing part, and that was after it being in freezer for over 1/2 hr. Since I’m a glutton for punishment, I printed out a whole plate of the skull keychains on the X1C and they were beautiful. I bumped the filament up to 4 stars from 1. I won’t deny that the prints just came out flawlessly. They are going into goodie bags for a Halloween wedding reception and the Bride loved them so much she wants 36 big skulls and 100 more of these all in different “fall colors and I will use kingroon filament for them. I couldn’t bump to 5 stars due to my experience with the cheaper printers, but it would have been 5 stars if I would have had this printer to begin with. I taught my boy and am teaching my grandkids that if you make a mistake, fess up and correct it. If Kingroon looks at these reviews I just want to say your filament in a Bambu X1C is incredible. This is the worst roll of filament I have had. I ran a temp tower first thing before any real prints. 205 looked the best. Printed a few little things and it was very stringy and ugly. I try multiple items at different temps starting at 190 up to 230 and each print look like garbage. I then figured I would print the same item and each of the same temp pattern and they all really looked bad. I was not able to keep any of them. I have used 4-5 different brands of filament and never gotten results like these. It does stick to the build plate well, but almost to well It is a pain to get off the plate and you really have to clean the plate up when it does come loose. Again maybe it was just a bad roll, but I don’t want to waste anymore money trying to find out ... show more
