Solid, sturdy, looks great and goes well with our dark blue Ford F-150. Needed something big and strong enough to pull a large sailboat. Currently have a standard hitch and have always wanted the adjustable and this is our second one as we have two trucks and often pull our atv trailer and our RV on the same outings. The only thing is the locks are not keyed the same so you have to take two sets of keys. It would be great if they had the same key pattern and you only needed one key. the short pin is too short. cannot fit the locking cap on it. 2 long pins would have worked. unfortunately have to return.

    • It's an adjustable trailer hitch.....

So, as far as being a trailer hitch, it is one. It's got good adjustability up and down and the 2 ball sizes for a hitch in this weight class. It is a one pin ball mount, most of these in this class have 2 pins to secure the ball to the hitch. I don't have a problem with this, as there's only 1 pin holding it to the receiver. Let's talk about the included pins.....yep, they are both key locked and seem to be up to the task of towing a trailer w/o problems. I personally use tractor pins for this but you're paying for these pins. Now, the locks..... I got 2 locking pins, with 2 different keys. Yup, you need 2 different keys. I would think that they would send keyed alike locks, but nope, you need to figure out which key is which when messing with this, so that's a bust. Don't spend extra money because of the included locks because you're going to want to replace them with something keyed alike or non keyed pins altogether. The locks themselves are just OK, so keep that in mind. The shank (into the receiver) is rather short, so you might feel that moving a bit while towing, but should be able to fit almost any receiver. It also has 2 pin holes, so I can use it on my front receiver (which almost nothing fits) to maneuver light trailers. I was at a rather large club store and they had one similar to this for a little less money and I'd go with that one, simply because the locking pins are not the same key. Yes, I'll use this to tow, no, I won't be using the locking pins. 4 stars for being useful, remove 1 star if the pins matter to you, making this 3 stars. I don't really recommend this at the price point, I just think you can do better for a little bit less $ and buy locks if you need/want them. ... show more

Pros: looks pretty Cons: was very loose in the receiver; only for full size or lifted pickup, my Hyundai Santa Cruz was too low to have this any different than pictured; 2 pins that are keyed differently; pricepoint is way too high, similar can be found elsewhere for far less. To note, this item was not free, tax paid is calculated at the original pricepoint. 1 star removal for the rattling and poor fit at this pricepoint. ... show more

Good, solid. Looks like will hold specification load. Was delaying review to finish my 1100 miles trip with 7700lb travel trailer. No problem with hitch during the trip. Did really good inspection on hitch after the trip and....no damages. Not even really signs of wear. Just couple scratches from security chains. Worth the price. Definitely. ... show more
