Description

The fight for survival continues in book 2 of the Catalyst Series.A murderous army, an unspeakable plague and an approaching hurricane. One man will risk it all to save his community. Cities, nations, and governments lie in ruins and billions have perished. In the wake of a global apocalypse, survival has become a way of life in a world that seems intent on wiping them all out.Among the survivors are Scott Montgomery and his friends on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. They have struggled to hang on better than most. But growing threats —both man-made and natural, leave their chances on a razors edge. Now with the help of uncertain alliances they must face a new threat none of them saw coming. The ‘Messengers’ are like a biblical plague, destroying everything—and everyone—in their path.Time is short for the survivors and a grim new discovery means the Messengers may not be the only thing they should fear.Don’t miss out on the second installment of the bestselling Catalyst series Read more

  • Well written addition to this saga
JK Frank's has one again added to this believable tale. To survive and bring a few along for the ride. With a preacher, a Ghost, soldiers, sailors and braniacs all trying to make the best of what's left after a CME devastated the world. I hope to see this on the big screen soon. I'll be jumping on the next chapter. 😁 ... show more

  • Series Gets Better With Each Book
The characters in this series are all so interesting. The main characters form a strong bond and truly regard one another as family. I like that there are many good people left. One cause of this apocalypse is still a mystery. The Catalyst group's tactics are brutal and it is still unknown who is in control of them. Conditions place the characters in bare survival mode, but they are surviving, so far. Plenty of twists and turns. Excellent plot with action that moves along fast. You will care about the characters in this series. Some are quite characters, indeed! ... show more

  • Epidemic
Occasional dropped words, nothing a good editorial review wouldn’t catch. Good story line. It is well connected to the previous book in this set. One of those stories where you lose track of time while reading it. One minute you’re going to put it down and go to bed and the next it’s 3 hours later and you’re gonna have to go into work on only 4 hrs sleep. ... show more

  • The story gets richer
The cast if characters and "others" get more development as many facets interact. The writing is such you can really put yourself in the story.

  • A Mighty Story Teller.
AS oft stated, this is the second in this series of three ( There is also a novella) Asone reviewer mentioned and I agree.. the fist is a microcosm with one a basic small area and invloves a family. It has tentacles outward but just hnts at more devestation beyond Harris Spring. This is encompasses lots of different parts of the world and pulls in a variety of characters.. (read: The good, the bad and the VERY ugly) Personally I did get very involved with the characters...the writing and narriation is amazing . Franks is one heck of a story teller! One or two typos but I would never kick such an excellent book for something so minor. They are very hard to put aside but I sometimes need to read something a bit lighter after so much blood guts and gore as this one has due to the huge "army" of the "Messengers" and their very crazy "Prophet" Michael. I like that each book can stand alone. I hate books that don't round off the story and hold you hostage to buy the next one. With Franks books.. you WANT to buy the next one! Like immediately. There must be a whole lot of research for these all which makes them even more interesting. I can REALLy see this as an amazing Science Fiction series on HBO! ... show more
