*Read the prequel short!* I didn’t know it existed until the end of book 3, ha-ha. I LOVED this book! It’s got a ton of spice, and angst, and drama, and the most bad*ss female lead!! I adore Stella. She knows what she wants, and she works for it! She has a life, and a backstory, with friends and hobbies that you see continue to be important, even as she makes new friends (girls and guys! Yay). The friction and heat between Stella and Sebastian is so good! I totally thought we were going reverse-harem in this book, though we do not (and there will not be in the later books for Stella/Seb either). There’s quite a bit of exhibitionism/voyeurism though! I feel like the trigger warnings oversold a little (yes, I’m the type to read the trigger warnings to see if the spicy stuff is going to check my boxes). I wish there was a bit more, but I did so enjoy what we had!! I’d rather a trigger warning go too far and protect sensitive folks anyway, so well-done there. May I add that the guy calls the gal ‘whore’ the entire freaking first 3 books though?! I had to substitute another word in my head at times because it was way overused. Pet names or sexy-time names or insults can get really repetitive fast, and they use the same one for everything Stella related. Ugh. She’s a bad*ss, let’s call her that, huh? I also appreciate how the author calls out fangirling over mafia shows and MC stuff like Sons of Anarchy, when that’s what the book is about. Nice little side plug for other ways to get our fix of the good stuff. Awesome book, wonderful trilogy for this couple, excited to read the additional books in this series and the spinoffs. ... show more

This was a story that stood on it's own despite being a rather common trope. I love Stella and Sebastian is growing on me. I like the relationship between Stella and the guys, they aren't just static characters, they contribute to the story. I've been distancing myself from college romance, but I'm absolutely finishing this one. All 20+ books! 🤣 ... show more

Lots of angst and hate and all the confusing feelings. And then a little surprise at the end. I was not expecting this from this series when I started it. Let’s see what happens to Stella and Sebastian as more lies and secrets are revealed. 🫢

If you are looking for a hot, new adult, mafia, bully romance this is the book for you. Stella and Seb practically burn up the page. The chemistry between them is amazing. Stella is a tough lady who takes no BS from anyone, even the kings of the school. I love that even later in the story she does not turn into a simpering little girl that waits for Seb to rescue her. The definition of self-rescuing princess. Poor Seb did not know what he was in for. Stella turns his world upside down. No matter how much he wants to hate her, he desires her more and nothing will stop him from having her. This whole series was so good, I could not put it down. ... show more
