Bought this chair before a beach day with friends and luckily it arrived right before we left! It was incredibly easy to set up once i saw that there were only two main components: the metal base frame, and the hammock part which hooks onto the metal base frame. 5 stars for easy set up (and also easy putting away! I wrapped the hammock part around the metal frame and it slid easily into the carrying bag). I’m a very fidgety person in general so this chair is absolutely the most comfortable outdoor chair ive ever used. It became even more evident when as my friends were trying out my chair, and i sat in a different chair, i felt completely grounded and uncomfortable. It was at this moment i knew i had to write a review about this chair. Another thing that blows my mind is that this chair has adjustable seating angles! For my chair (the blue chair), it’s the orange straps by the arm rests that allow me to adjust from a nearly horizontal laying position, to a 90 degree sitting up position. I was literally telling my friend right before i found the straps “the only thing i dont like about this chair is that it’s hard to sit up in it” I will say its a bit tall, i had to assist my friends that were 5ft into the hammock lol. This chair is the best of both worlds. It’s comfortable and easy to set up. Most chairs that are comfortable are heavy or bulky. This chair is not. The quality seems to be holding up very well. The chair has made it through a summer full of baseball and softball games.

Received this chair in a short timeline. Set it up very easily in seconds (instructions really not necessary), sat in it and made the simple adjustments with the position straps. Honestly, my first thought was “ this is not what I hoped it would be” as it kind of squeezed me together in a slight manner. I reclined it all the way back and didn’t like it at all as I thought “it’s going back “ because the very lower back portion crumpled and had no support at all. In fact it was ‘uncomfortable’. But as I adjusted it up a little bit (very simple strap movement with a finger) I liked how it suddenly changed into a nice comfortable position, legs not squashed together, and still reclined back enough to support my head and neck (I’m a 69 year old man at 240 Lbs.), which was the main reason I chose this chair after reviewing others on back height. I then made other adjustments to sit up like st a campfire, and it was good. So now I’m thinking I’ll keep it because other than in full recline, it’s good for me and offers just what I was hoping to obtain in a comfortable camping chair (we go often). I’ll take a little bit for a person to figure out what works best for the arm positions, but I can say I’ve found 2 or 3 locations that are good for me. I’ll add a foot stool of some sorts will greatly add comfort to your experience as well. We have a couple options there with our little tables or a soft top cup table stand. Everyone who comes over has to try out this chair. It has a surprisingly sturdy frame, although it did take me a minute to realize where the pins are inserted. (The holes are on the vertical posts--that may be covered by the brackets until you push the brackets down further on the post). Once seated, the common response is, "Ohhhh. Yeahhhh." A foot rest, whether an ottoman, a stool, or just a large rock, increases the relaxation factor. A great place to sit and read or take a nap. Very supportive. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This portable hammock chair is just that! Portable and a hammock!! It’s sooo easy to set up and set up is super quick. Once it’s set up it’s easy to use, it’s sturdy, and my infant has taken over (with adult supervision, of course) my baby girl loves sitting outside, laying in this, listening to the birds and watching the trees! Mommy loves sitting in this, holding the baby watching my older children play. It’s extremely sturdy. I feel super safe sitting in it. It’s safe for my older kids and as long as I’m monitoring sitting right next to my baby I know she’s OK and she loves it. When putting away it’s extremely easy to fold up and put both the base and the swing/hammock inside the carry bag! It’s definitely worth the money. The one thing I wish it did have Is an Ottoman for my feet! ... show more

Loved the beachy colors and was so hopeful. The pins that are supposed to keep the frame stable right out the gate did not hold up, even for a small child using it. The pins are attached to a fabric tab with an extremely cheap, frail wire....a thin wire that holds the pins that are supposed to keep the frame from collapsing from even minimal amount of weight. It cannot hold. Fell over with a child, twice. We sent it back. Amazon process has been great. It's on it's way back now, thank you.
