  • Don’t bother with the cheaper cases.
Color: Foliage Green
I would strongly encourage the official kindle leather cover. I was worried because it didn’t open like a book. I got used to that real fast. The quality is unmatched. I got the green one and love the color. I tried four other cases, but this one wins. It’s really thin and light, holds the pencil in two places. It’s made for the Scribe by the people who made the scribe and it shows. ... show more

  • Terrific Case
Color: Storm Grey
If you want protection for your scribe …..from dust….then this case is for you. It is clearly not designed to offer much protection from drop damage. I see so many people complain that it offers little to no protection. Obviously. So if that’s what you’re looking for, look elsewhere. If you want something made specifically for the kindle that accommodates its sleek design then this is the one for you. I tried another case which made it too thick and too heavy. For me, personally, it lost its luster. Returned and grabbed this one. Is the leather premium? I don’t know. Is it over priced? Probably. A good one time buy and use for the life instead of buying and trying multiple cases. Decent quality. I bought used and it appears practically brand new. **update after two months of use. I don’t really understand the dissatisfaction from others for this case. It snaps in well and does not budge. The stand feature works great. I’ve had no issues thus far. Try to buy used because the only criticism I have is that it’s about $30 too expensive. Overall a great case that I find to be very useful. ... show more

  • Stylish and fits perfectly

I like the look and feel of this case. It feels good and keeps good care of my scribe.

  • Excellent premium case for Kindle
Color: Storm Grey
I got this case as a bundle with the Kindle Scribe, the case, and charger brick. I'm not sure if it would be worth the cost if purchased alone, but as a bundle it is a great addition. I love the magnetic attach feature, it automatically wakes the Kindle when opened. The sleeve for the pen is nice and snug to minimize risk of losing it. Overall, great case when purchased on discount, probably not worth full MSRP price. ... show more

  • Glare free reading/writing tablet
Color: Storm Grey
I like that the tablet is glare free and that you can scribe on it like other tablets. The pen kind of glitches at times and doesn’t write everything exactly, but it’s a similar problem that iPads have as well. It’s a little hassle to have to upload pdf documents that you want to scribe on, but overall the process is easy to do. ... show more
Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2024 by I like the tablet. I like it that you can scribe on it and it doesn’t have a glare. Sometimes it can glitch and not catch every detail you write, but that is something very minor and similar to other tablets. It is a little hassle to upload pdf documents in order to scribe on it, but overall it is an easy process.

  • Poor quality, skimpy coverage, no stand, weak magnets
Color: Foliage Green
I purchased this "premium" leather cover as part of a bundle when I ordered the Scribe with my trade-in discount - price was $92.58. It is definitely not worth even half of that price. It's hard to describe, but the case is a little larger around the edges than the Scribe, so when you hold it you are rolling up the edge. There is no stand; the instructions say you can fold the cover and use it as a stand. I must be doing something wrong because mine won't stay supported by the folded up cover. The loop for the pen is on the bottom of the front flap. It feels awkward and may be contributing to my folding issue since I leave the pen in place unless I am using it. It is only held in place with 4 magnets - one on each corner - and just reading in bed last night I managed to knock it loose. I spent way too much on the Scribe to keep it in a case that doesn't really protect it. I have ordered a different case that will be here next week and am keeping it in a tablet sleeve until then. The Amazon case is going back. It's a shame because the green is really pretty, but it is not protecting my expensive device at all. ... show more

  • lightweight, very high usability/utility, low protection.
Color: Foliage Green
The quality of this case is premium and has a great feel and smell. What it lacks in overall durability/protection, it gains in being lightweight which is the fundamental feature to keep the kindle being used as intended, a notebook replacement. A heavier case may offer more rough protection. For example, this case connects to the kindle via magnets so the sides are exposed. A plastic casing could have been used but would have added weight and size and may have made it too difficult to carry in and out of meetings and working sessions. The way I use the Kindle is to take notes at work, review documents, read through magazines, and occasionally read books (have a smaller Kindle for more intense reading). The kindle with this sleeve works well to quickly move from room to room or office to office and take notes and read/review word, pdfs, ppts. When returning home, I put throw it into a laptop sleeve for the added protection in transit/travel. TLDR: Love the premium quality and purposeful choice to make it lightweight, makes a great choice as a notebook replacement for working. I pair it with a laptop sleeve for added protection when I need to. ... show more

  • A very nice piece of kit
Color: Storm Grey
Having ordered the cover as a part of a promotion last July, I chose the gray color. Having used the Scribe and cover for six months now, I have found the cover to be an extremely well-made piece. I would probably buy another if there were additional color choices offered. Contrary to what some reviewers state, this is a distressed leather piece. The markings are from the process involved in producing the piece. I have had some experience in leather production and understand the differences between full grain, top grain, split, and suede leather. Also, the difference between calf, goat, and sheep hides—the quality levels of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and the procedures used in tannage. I have no direct knowledge of what type of hides are used in the manufacture of the covers. However, from the look of the grain and texture, I am thinking goat hide. As goat hide is a primary choice for book-binding leather, and insofar as the Kindle Scribe™ is an 'electric book'; here we are. For its intended purpose, the cover works well. For those that want combat grade protection perhaps not so much. I am happy with the cover. With proper leather care, it should have great longevity. I have attached a photo of my cover along with some leather-bound printed books over forty years old, (also bound in goat hide) for comparison. ... show more
