We are using this for our homeschool science class, and we love it! It doesn’t focus 100% but gets clear enough that you can see lots of details on the slides. It does take 2 AA batteries which are not included.

The first thing you notice is the nice sturdy blue ABS case this comes with. This will be critical to keep it safe as well as not to lose all the different accessories it comes with, example, glass slides, dropper, scapel, tweezers, mobile phone bracket, animal/plant specimens, etc... I am surprised how powerful it is, from 100X to 1200X, so it is really for microscopic viewing, the kids and adults will be shocked when they see the whole new world that is normally invisible to us. It will give them a different view on life and perhaps encourage them to go into the science and engineering fields. Lenses these days are all pretty good, just need a proper specimen and slide and light setup. The only negative, if not just purely amusing, is their English translation of "Microscope Knowledge" . see the zoomed in screenshot .. LOL.. ... show more

This is a really nice fun easy to use telescope for a preteen teen or even a child. I even used it with my son and I’m very impressed how well it works. It comes with all the attachments and extractions you need for it to work well and I’ve had no issues with it at all.
