I decided I wanted to try a garden this spring when it was a little too cold to start seeds directly in the dirt outside (zone 6). I used the heating mats, individual compartments with a peat pellet and covers. My seeds sprouted pretty quickly thanks to the warmth provided which wasn’t too hot. My only negative comment would be that I feel the covers could be formed to fit the bottom half a little bit better. ... show more

Great set to get the plants started. Had a lot of useful options. I didn’t get to use the hot mat, but everything else besides two shovels worked great. The small shovel heads fell off as soon as I used them.

I just planted my seeds yesterday so time will tell how well this system works. However, it was easy to use and seems to be sturdy enough to hold up for several years of use. Seller was spot-on with delivery, which was much appreciated. The little plastic set of tools worked great for filling the seed trays and planting but I really don't see a need for the wooden set of mini tools. I would rather have received more seed markers.
