Not going to lie, but I was a little skeptic at first. Only because I bought a product that was similar to this one and it didn’t hold up to its specifications. That sure was the case with the NIWA. If you’re looking to have full control of your grow environment then I suggest you add this to your grow. Simple set up, easy to use, and has a accurate reading on temp and humidity. To grow quality it’s all about the environment in your room/tent. With the VPD feature that’s where you’re getting your bang for your buck. Definitely one of my favorite features on this device. Growers, targeting your VPD is essential for optimal growth! I am pleased by all means. Therefore, I will definitely be picking up another one when I invest in another tent. Also, the NIWA team is amazing with their customer service. Not only do they get to you quickly, they also provide you with alternate answers to ensure you get your grow parameters straight. I would recommend this product to any enthusiast that wants quality over quantity. One more thing, they update their product time after time to provide fluency with their product. I have purchased 2 products trying to get it to work. They would connect to my wifi and router would show this on device list but device and app failed to register that. I reached out to customer service, they gave basic instruction and said to let them know so they could further help then stopped responding when it did not work. App constantly logs off off randomly and have read reviews for app saying there is a 3% rh delay in reaction which can be a big a deal. Feels like a prototype with poor quality standards that was pushed to market. You would be lucky to get this to work and if it does do not expect it to function properly. Not suprised it is now on sale. Note: tried 2 devices, on 2 routers(netgear, eero), from 2 phones(apple, android) with same results ... show more

I now have 4 Niwa GrowHub units in use since buying my first one several years ago and I recommend them highly. Before I purchased my first unit, I compared it to the competition, which at the time was only the AC Infinity Controller. There are still not many other options that include 4 different plugs/devices and WiFi capabilities with the ability to change parameters remotely. Because the devices I’m powering were not AC Infinity branded, I would have had to purchase 4 of their proprietary plugs which put the cost of set up at almost double the cost of the Niwa. This was what made me initially choose Niwa, but their tech support and continuous improvement of the software is what brought me back to buy Niwa units three more times. I have two controlling orchid terrariums, one controlling a tropical plant tent, and one controlling a cold-growing orchid refrigerator. I travel for work frequently and Niwa allows me to monitor my parameters remotely, make changes on the fly, and gives a sense of comfort that my plants are being well-cared for while I am gone. Any time I have run into a technical issue or even if I just have a question, I know if I email Niwa I’ll receive an email back from Zachary or Javier within only an hour or two. They are incredibly responsive and have even emailed me weeks after to check in and make sure the issue didn’t reoccur. Additionally, they make frequent updates and improvements to the software. Some reviews mention a desire to turn devices on and off without altering their “recipe” and the latest update introduced Manual Mode which allows you, with one click, to manually take over all your devices. They listen to feedback and make changes based on what their customers need which is not something you can say about most companies. There is a small learning curve with their “recipe” model, which, frankly, I feel could be eliminated without any loss, but it does have its benefits- when I get a new Niwa Growhub, it’s only one click to duplicate the parameters I’ve set for another environment which makes setting up a new terrarium or tent super easy. Since buying my first unit, there’s been a couple more competitors come onto the market, but I will always stay with Niwa because I know if I have an issue it will be addressed by an expert in the device within hours and that’s priceless. This product is for enthusiast and not yet ready. I feel like for an average user was having trouble to get it to connect at first and had to reach out them luckily they reached back as soon as possible, and I got it to set up. I’ve seen a lot of other reviews of people saying the same thing so I just wanted to mention it. I gotta say their customer service is really good and I feel like they’re really pushing to further their product to make it better for an average user but overall works great. I love this product. It works as intended if you follow basic electrical rules. They stand behind their product, over 2 years after purchase I had an issue with my sensor and they shipped me out a new one at no cost and then checked in a week later to make sure everything was working as intended.     • This enviornment controller is a BEAST!!

I'm 1000% satisfied with this controller! I bought it to use in my 2x4 grow tent. I was able to connect my exhaust fan, spcae heater, dehumidifier and two 2L humidifiers.(not recommended but the humidifiers work just fine) This unit has a temperature deadband of .5 degrees and RH deadband of 2%. This alows me to really dial in my VPD range. Prior to this, I was using three different controllers with three different sensors, which had three different temp and RH readings. The Niwa Grow Hub is a beast! Basically, All I need to do is water my girls, refill my humidifiers, and pray that the electricity doesn't go out. I have to say that their customer service is also nothing but spectacular. I was having a few issues when I first bought the controller. They were able to diagnose the issue and update my controller within 5 min. I was sceptical at first because the price point was so low compared to other comparable enviornment controllers. Normally, you get what you pay for. In this case, this controller is a steal for $209! Great job Niwa ... show more
