  • Does well!
Size: Without Handle
So I've only had it a couple of nights, but the chickens took to it immediately. It has lots of ways to hang it, I hung it with hooks in the window and put towels over the other windows (I'm still figuring things out. I inherited these birds in July). It still feels cold I'm there, but as soon as I pit it up, the chickens, who religiously line up in the back, now immediately gather around the heater all night and seem happier. I'll probably buy one more to avoid crowding. ... show more

  • Seems safer
Size: With Handle
I bought this for my chicken coop because it seems safer than the heat lamps I looked at, and was half the price. It has a handle, is easy to use, and it can be stood up, mounted or hung.

  • Protect my chickens in Winter
Size: Without Handle
I love these items I use them all winter for my hen houses. They work amazingly and perform perfectly and not a bad price either .

  • Does what it's supposed to, just heats up
Size: Without Handle
It does what it's supposed to, the plate heats up and generates some heat, but not a considerable amount, and the heat radiates not to far from the plate. The long cord is nice and the timer/heat selection function is convenient. Returned one and will keep one just because it's opened and used

  • Gets warm...ish
Size: Without Handle
Doesn't get as hot as the item description says it does, Level 3 isn't even as hot as a mug of tea. Not sure it will keep my birds warm this winter unless I install it on the ground where they can lean up against it.

  • Great quality heater for chicken coop
Size: With Handle
The media could not be loaded. This heater is perfect for the chicken coop. Keeps chickens nice and cozy in the cold weather. The cord is protected and the on off switch is located on the heater, so it does stay protects out of the elements.

  • Flawed
Size: Without Handle
Works well except for one big flaw. If the power goes out for just a few seconds, the unit will not turn back on. So if it's a cold night and you have little baby chickens, they'll freeze to death. For this reason, I do not recommend it.

  • Warm Comfort For My Smallest Chickens
Size: Without Handle
Having recently added the Kesfitt Chicken Coop Heater to my setup for my Serama chickens, I'm pleased to share some thoughts on its performance and usability. I provide heat for my Serama when the temperatures drop below 50 degrees. I have been running this heater every night for 2 weeks and have had no issues with it heating up, staying heated, adjusting the heat levels, turning on, or turning off. 💡 Efficiency is Key: The radiant heat energy design is fantastic. My main reason for opting for Kesfitt was to ensure my Serama get the heat they need when temperatures drop below 50 degrees. Running it every night for 2 weeks, it hasn't missed a beat. The energy consumption, being at a mere 100/200W, is an added plus for the wallet and the environment. 🖥️ Digital Display - A Handy Feature: The digital screen adds an element of convenience. Setting the temperature and timing is a breeze. I especially appreciate the safety feature where the heater stops if the actual temperature exceeds the set temperature. My Serama's safety is paramount, and this feature reassures me. ⏲️ Customization for the Win: With three temperature levels and five timing settings, it's simple to provide the right warmth for my flock. I love the ability to set the timer and temperature, and the heater remembering the settings every day is genuinely a time-saver. 🛠️ Installation Options: While it boasts 3 ways to install, I'd recommend hanging it. The standing feet, in my experience, aren't as sturdy. The heater can tip over easily when on the stands. That's my main qualm and the reason for deducting a star. But hanging it? A charm! 🐔 Perfect for Animals: Whether it's dogs, cats, or chickens, the Kesfitt Chicken Coop Heater offers a consistent gentle warmth. If you've got animals braving the cold of winter, this heater might be an ideal solution. For those in the poultry world, especially with smaller breeds like Serama, this heater does its job admirably. If you're considering it, keep in mind the sturdiness issue with the stand. But all in all, a worthwhile investment for my feathered friends' comfort. Edit to add: I have my heaters pluged into a power strip. Currently, in my area, the nights are cold, and the days are warm. I turn these off during the day by switching off the power strip. When I turn the power strip back on in the evening, all my other heaters come on automatically except this one. If you turn the power off or have a power outage please realize that this will not turn back on by itself. ... show more
