Ordered this stand because for some reason TV manufacturers us use those lunatic little feet at the far end of their screens, and I don't want to buy new furniture. The stand went together easily and quickly, I made one error using the long screws were short ones were required, my bad. The instruction were clear except in one area! In the hardware package there were 2 sets of plastic standoffs, 1/4" and 1/2", but it wasn't clear which should be used when, I used the 1/2" spacers, between the plate that gets screwed on the back of the TV, in my case a 40" Vizio. For me the lowest of 3 height settings was the best. The stand is quite heavy and very sturdy! For the cost a great purchase. There was one part packed with the 1/2" standoff that was an enigma, I figured out it had nothing at all to do with the stand! Very satisfied with this stand. ... show more

I had only 1 mystery putting this together. The swivel bracket mounts to the vertical pipe. In the picture it looked like washers were used with the 4 bolts but the picture didn't indicate a "Letter" identifying which washer to use. The screws where black and the washers where not so I thought maybe no washers. It looks great black against black. Depending on the screw size you need to mount the Plate to the back of your tv you get plenty of different sizes. The video on amazon is a good backup for constructing the stand. It took me about 20 minutes which included dressing all the cables behind the TV into the 2 cable dressing supports. This is a very good mount for the money. ... show more

The four holes were just a touch too small to anchor my TCL 40" Roku TV to the stand. Even the screws p[provided would not fit through those holes. Fortunately I had a suitable drill & bit to slightly enlarge to openings and the rest was a piece of cake. Also, some of the illustrations were printed too small for my tired old eyes to see clearly. I ordered one of these for a fairly lightweight 40" TV, to take the place of the small and flimsy legs the TV came with. It's a very solid stand, and the base is weighty enough that I'm no longer concerned with the TV being easily knocked over. I liked it enough that I picked up a second for my 32" monitor that weighs almost 30 lbs, and for which I had no tabletop stand. Again, the stand performs really well. Stan's itself is nice. No problems with tipping. BUT if you aren't good at figuring out what bolt goes where get a different kind, you get 8 different sized bolts with no direction as to what goes where.
