work very well for the price, I couldn't find the shovel the rest is very good, it came with all the accessories, and doesn't look like Chinese bad crap. I really like the box design. will be uploading photos in the future with gold expeditions!

This was perfect for a week-long summer beach trip with friends and added so much more to do. The battery lasted the whole trip with using it everyday and still has a good amount left. It works well as a metal detector and we were actually able to find a couple coins and a necklace as complete beginners. The carrying bag easily fits everything inside and the included shovel and headphones are perfectly useable when needed. I think the inclusion of these made the value of this whole kit so much more worth it. The instruction manual that it comes with explains everything from what specific numbers mean to how to adjust the settings to look for specific metals. I wanted a fun activity for the entire family to enjoy on our latest trip, and the ENTOKTOOL T11 Metal Detector did the job perfectly. We took it to Morro Bay, and it was a blast for everyone. It's lightweight and easy enough for my 10-year-old to use—he was the first one to find a “treasure,” a small toy truck! The detector display shows the types of materials in the ground, like aluminum, silver, coins, and nails, and even indicates how deep the treasure is, so you can decide if it's worth digging up. The adjustable rod and handle allow you to customize the fit for each person, making it a great activity for everyone. I ordered this thing to play around with on my 5-acre property. I have no prior experience with metal detecting equipment. The product came packaged nicely and was in good shape when it arrived on my doorstep. The contents of the package include the metal detector, a pair of 9V batteries, a small collapseable trowel which is really nice in and of itself, a set of over-ear headphones, a set of instructions, and a backpack to store everything in. Assembling the detector is easy; every joint is a slip joint with a quick-release lever, and the digital display fastens to the detector via one small thumb screw. I'm a tall man (6'-8") and there is enough adjustment for me to use this detector without stooping over; I can run the sensor head over the ground with as little as a one-inch air gap. I will note that the detector is not long enough to allow me to rest the sensor head on the ground without having to stoop over a little bit. Most people won't have this problem. Getting the detector set up is easy, and my only complaint is that the thumb screws which tighten the detector head are hard to get tight enough to keep the head from slowly rotating downward. This hinge could use some tweaking by the manufacturer. As a beginner, using this metal detector has been frustrating. The digital display has several adjustable settings, sensitivity among them. Users can adjust the sensitivity from 1 to 10. As a beginner, I don't have a good feel for what level I should select to get reasonable readings without the machine going haywire every time I move the sensor head. In fact, at level 5, the machine was going haywire every time I moved the sensor head. If I were to believe the machine, my property is absolutely infested with tin, iron, and an occasional scrap of zinc. There's got to be a way to prevent the detector from chirping every time I move the sensor head, but so far I haven't figured it out. I can say that the detector accurately located the items I placed in front of it to find, including an old matchbox car, my supposedly-silver wedding ring (which it detected as foil... !?!?!?), and my wrist watch, which is a vintage Swiss-made piece. The detector has a pinpoint feature which is supposed to really zero in on the location of an object; this feature worked well with the objects I placed on the ground. The detector would not chirp until the sensor head was directly over the object. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to keep the detector in pinpoint mode indefinitely; it automatically cancels out after about 5 seconds. The last thing I think is worth mentioning is, per the manufacturer's instructions (which were surprisingly good for being (presumably) Chinese), the sensor head is waterproof. It can be submerged, but the manufacturer notes that the digital display is not waterproof. I would also probably not submerge the sensor head past the wire connector (for the wire which runs to the digital display); I doubt the connection is waterproof. Overall, I *think* this detector is going to work out ok. I just need to spend some more time with it and mess around with the settings to see what works when, and how well. ... show more
