Description

The Keeley Fuzz Bender is a 5 knob – 3 transistor modern fuzz using a combination of high-gain silicon and silky smooth germanium. What makes fuzz better? Active EQ. Using two gyrators as an active EQ gives you the ability to create massive fuzz tones not possible with typical square-wave boxes. Pummel your amp with over 20dB of boost/cut at 100Hz and 10K Hz. The Fuzz Bender is built around vintage Japanese germanium to create its monumental fuzz tones. With the all new Bias Control, you control the attack and decay of your notes. Anything from Fat Square Waves to Angular Fuzz to glitchy-Velcro attacks are possible with the Bias Control. The Fuzz Bender’s five knobs confirm size matters when creating a new and epic world of fuzz.

  • The fuzziest fuzz to fuzz them all
Pattern Name: Bender
This pedal does not have a "clean" tone... it practices exactly what it preaches. I'm enjoying discovering all of the tones that this pedal produces. Very versatile this pedal. I have owned and played the EHX big muff fuzzes for years, they sound great but this pedal gives more control to be able to shape the tone how each tone junkie wants it. I placed it third in my signal chain for the East River Drive to be able to boost some mids into the pedal to add a lot of beefiness.... not that it needs it. As a guitar player of 20 years, this pedal is a lot of fun... i'm glad i purchased. ... show more

  • Good Mojo with this one
Pattern Name: Bender
I am not a huge fuzz fan but I was looking for Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky tone and this does it nicely for me. It could be a bit "spittier" but it gets close enough while staying controllable all over the neck and different string gauges. I also get a good Stones "Satisfaction" sound with this great fuzz pedal. the right Reverb is important with these sounds too but I guess that's another discussion I am a bit of a tone hound and can say that this one is truly a keeper! ... show more

  • Never Leaving My Board
Pattern Name: Bender
So I’ve owned a ton of fuzz pedals and this one will never leave my board. You can achieve almost any fuzz tone you’re after with this pedal. Anything from gated starved fuzz to in your face warm germanium goodness. This pedal can cover so much territory it’s insane. My only wish is that it had two presets and two bias controls for more versatility to switch between lead and rhythm tones, but that’s not a knock at all; a wish for the future. Then again I might just buy one more of these and switch between them because it’s really just that good. ... show more

  • Could not get this to work with my rig not sure
Pattern Name: Bender
really wanted to like this. Lots of praise out there for this unit and Mr. K pedals in general. This supposedly has a lot of flexibility with the tone knobs and sweep from "germanium" to full silicone transistor circuitry. I do not think it has actual germanium components but simulation works when dialed all the way left. But bassy. As you sweep it up to the center it gates on and off way too much. Had to crank my Strat all the way and only then would it behave. You turn it all the way right to full silicone and it just spits way too much. Some may like this on/off behavior but to me it should be more suttle. I really thought there was something wrong with the first one I received so I exchanged it. The 2nd unit seemed even to behave more strangely than the first. So back they went. I mean I got some sounds out but the behavior almost feels like the pedals came from a bad batch. Or I just had different expectations. YMMV ... show more
