Just received mine today and havnt used it yet although it seems like it's really well built, the bag is kinda useless in my opinion and Folding it in half is a bit cumbersome but I'll never be folding it or putting it in the bag so no big deal. The aluminum framing is high quality and the nylon netting is coated with a thin rubber which is exactly what I wanted It's a little different dimension wise then advertised 19 wide x 23 long but bigger is better than too small, I would say this net would easily handle fish up to 40in and it fits right up there with those $150 nets ... show more

It might sink I haven’t dropped it yet but dam is it stronger than the other ones in this price range. Goes through the water better than our other ones too. Me and my buddy are just on a small john boat so it’s gotta be compact-able . That normally means breaks easier. We had a couple others that worked but broke but this thing is built better. I bought the 19\20\18 size net. Let me say it is huge, and I love it. I have the typical Frabil folding extendable mesh net like most. The issue with that net is because it is mesh it takes forever to get hooks out of it. I dreaded landing fish with it if using anything with treble hooks. Additionally, it was pretty rough on any fish that were landed. So I buy the Kastking Brutus net and let me tell you once again...this thing is huge. I wanted a larger net anyway and this did not dissapoint. I also love that the mesh is coated in PVS so easier to remove hooked fish and easier on the fish itself. Now the fish grips and the hook remover that come with it are just cheap freebies really...I gave those to my son...and really any one who buys this set could gift those items to someone else as well. What you pay and what you get makes this deal a positive for the consumer. I must say I got this at a discount as a Prime deal so what I paid may not be what you paid but trust me the competition is almost double the cost. I have looked and I have been in multiple Bass Pros and Cabela's trying to find a large PVC coated extendable net at an affordable price and this is the only one I could find. Buy with confidence on this one!! I may add the silicone net as well at a later date!! ... show more

This net is quick to setup and break down. Love that it fits so nicely into my backpack. Would be nice to bave a littl larger net diameter. Some of the coho I catch just bately fit into it. It seems to be very sturdy.

The net is awesome and love the carrying case. It's pretty heavy duty which is good and bad. The fish lip grabber and fish hook remover are a nice addition and work well. Very pleased with all my Kastking product purchases.

The net is solid and well made, and works beautifully once it’s open. The clasp is stiff and takes 2 hands to open. That’s tough when I am playing a fish, so I have to open the net before I hook a fish, which I only discovered when I had a big snook to the boat. Also, the silicone netting, while gentle on fish, does hang up on the frame, which can also make it impossible to open the net if you don’t notice. I tore the netting a bit trying to open the net. After that, I secured each net loop to the frame with a small UV resistant zip tie, and now the netting behaves itself and I just have to fight with the stiff clasp. Silicone lubricant helps a little. A bit more engineering on the clasp would be appreciated. ... show more
