The safe is well priced for the material and use. The door is very heavy and sturdy. Make sure to anchor the safe otherwise when he door is open, the safe will tip over. The setup was very easy to understand with the instruction Manuel. The safe is on the smaller side which is perfect for storing 2 rifles and a couple handguns.     • If you plan to buy 2 long guns and put a scope/red dot sight on one of them, buy a bigger safe
It’s a great starter safe for the price. It will hold 4 pistols in the top section, but as for the bottom part, I have 1 standard ar15 down there with a red dot sight on it and it encompasses the entire bottom area because you have to put it at a slant. If you plan on buying 2 long guns(ar,shotgun,hunting rifle) and putting any type of optic on any of them, purchase a bigger safe. Needs to be drilled into the floor or wall because the door is heavy and tips the whole safe when it opens. The pistol holder on the door will not hold a Glock 19 as the door wont shut with it in the holder. The boxes on the door don’t hold 50rd boxes of 9mm but do hold 4 20rd boxes of 5.56 each. It is a great starter safe if you plan on buying 4 pistols and 1 long gun. Knowing what I know now I would have coughed up the money for a bigger safe. ... show more

The passcode will not set. The instructions are straightforward. I followed them exactly, it gives me a beeping yellow light every time I try to set a passcode. It will not even accept the factory default passcode so it won’t open except with the key. Gun safes need a passcode. Essentially I received a safe that doesn’t work. At this price point you can't beat it, definitely better ones on the market but this safe is great fora quick access safe. Easy to setup a personal code and the spare keys gives you the piece of mind just in case you forget the code. Wish it came with better mounting hardware but that's an easy fix with a quick trip to the hardware store. Wouldn't use it as an end all equipment safe but it's nice to be able to toss stuff in there when you get home and pull out again when needed. Size as advertised is misleading. Had to take the shelf out so that my Mossberg 12g fit. Not honestly sure if it would fit any other rifles. Slots for ammo are undersized and too short. It works for the price but I would honestly consider a different safe for more money if I could do it over .
