This was a great investment. While it cannot be used without the mattress, the mattress can be used without the base. Its comfortable and holds air well. It doesn't come with an inflator but that was easy enough to get. Definitely takes camping to a whole new glamping level.

    • Worked out perfectly
This is by far the best cot and mattress we have ever had so far. It was super quick and easy to put all together and has been used by 2 different house guests. One guest used it for a week and never had to add any air into it, and the other guest used it for almost a month and a half and only filled it up once. I did use a mattress pad on it as well so that helped with comfort, and it was really quiet. They said they didn't feel like they were sleeping on an air mattress. The bedding stayed on it just fine too so that was a bonus. The top sheet does not tuck under but that didn't seem to be an issue for the person using it. We are going to be using this on our camping trip in a couple months and happy that we won't be on the ground this year. I most likely will be bringing a pad or something to put under the frame just to err on the side of caution since all campgrounds are different, and I don't want to take a chance on the feet of the cot putting a hole in the floor of the tent. I really don't think it would but rather be safe. Also, it is a little heavy, so it's something you really don't want to have to haul too far to set up.     • Pretty nice camping cot
This is a comfortable cot to sleep on and the provided mattress did hold air for our 4 day camping trip without needing to be reinflated once. The mattress cover is not the softest material so I would recommend throwing a fitted sheet into the carrying case. The carrying case seems to be very sturdy and well built and it is actually big enough to put the cot back into the bag without struggling. There might even be enough room to toss the fitted sheet and and cover sheet in there too. It does make the typical air mattresses noises but that was to be expected. My biggest and really only complaint is that the top of the cot where the air mattress rests inside the sewn on bag is not solid material. The mattress is supported with nylon webbing adequately enough to support me and my wife but my thoughts were on replacing the air mattress with a thick sleeping pad once the mattress broke or being able to just sleep on the cot without the mattress. This has no affect on the product in the way it was meant to function but my intentions on how to circumvent the air mattress will require some additional sewing to make work properly. ... show more

We’ve used this on 2 camping trips so far and it’s holding up well! 2 adults with a combined weight of around 400lbs. I’m pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is, how easy it is to set up (there was no initial assembly and can it’s easily set up by one person), and the air mattress held air throughout the night. Comfortable, stable, easy to set up and put away. I also like that if the air mattress gets messed up somehow it can be replaced with ease since the legs aren't attached to the air mattress.
