    • OK…let’s be honest…this is NOT a gun “safe”.
This is, however, an extremely affordable and easy to assemble lightweight gun cabinet. Now, with that said, there are inherent issues with cabinets as opposed to actual gun safes. As flat-packed cabinets go, however, this one looks more like a gun safe than any of the others I’ve tried or seen. It is a bit on the lighter side, though, weighing only about 80lbs assembled. But, as long as you secure it to a wall and/or floor (as you should with all cabinets), it will perform very well for basic sturdiness and security and won’t be able to be lifted and carried away being so lite. Thus, it is NOT a safe. There are children in the home, and securing any and all firearms is absolutely essential! This cabinet exceeds those expectations. But…because it’s not a safe, anyone determined to get in who can wield a large hammer and crowbar will take mere minutes to pop the seams. So…if basic child-proofing and protection is what you need with something lightweight and easy to move around that “looks” like a safe but is a fraction of the cost of a safe - then this is what you need. If more security for the firearms themselves, however, is required…a gun cabinet is NOT what you want to be shopping for to begin with. A real gun safe costs several times more than pretty much any cabinet. But be aware…a lot of cabinets are marketed as safes. If you have to put it together and/or it weighs anything less than a large human (275lbs)…it’s probably just a cabinet. I like this Kaer product simply for the low cost and ease of assembly. It did take two of us, but it was done within an hour. It does look quite impressive when finished. Protects my kids and that’s all I really needed for now. Makes moving a lot easier too if that ever comes into the equation in the future. Maybe, once we’re settled in a more permanent situation, a safe will be something I’d consider then. Until then…this works better and for far less money than any other cabinet I checked into. ... show more

This is a great gun safe, great quality and very easy to use and program. The materials are great, the price is reasonable, the access is quick and easy, this safe is very nice looking and sturdy! I highly recommend this safe in this price range!

Would've been 5 stars, the length of some of my....airsoft guns!-made it impossibleto install the shelf. My copy also came missing the shelf. Other than that, this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I fit 6 scoped long guns, 3 double barrels, and three other long guns PLUS 7 pistols on the door, and 2 more behind the long guns. That's 12 long and 9 hand guns total. It was easy to set up, and the included light is nice to have, though I'm sure it won't last long. ... show more

I have a multi family house and this is my secound safe like this and they are amazing , the easy to assemble and how solid they are after you finish is well worth the money . It’s small enough to fit in my closet but big enough to hold the hand guns and rifles I have .. highly recommend

    • Don’t waste your money
While it is a good looking metal box it is far from a safe. The locking mechanism can be easily opened if you apply just enough pressure to the rotating handle. The seller advised me to take the back panel of the door out to try to fix the problem but it did not work. It looks good but quality of parts and internals in the lock are terrible. ... show more
