This is the best gun safe I have ever bought my old one was not as sophisticated and good as this, it has full capacity and has a lock that uses a good pin number, this will be much better than my old one. Many benefits and advantages that I get from this safe 1. Large size and capacity 2. High level of security 3. Has Fire protection 4. High quality weight and containment 5. Has faster entry access I really like and am satisfied with the results of this product, this is the best in my opinion and also the design and color are very good in terms of very high quality walls, this safe is highly recommended for those who want to have a good safe.     • Not really a safe, but works great for what I need
As others have mentioned, this is not an actual safe-safe, it's a gun case. Actual safes are, as I'm sure you're aware, very expensive, very heavy, and could stand up to just about any attempts to open it you can throw at it. But if you aren't able to put a full safe somewhere in your home and just want something to keep things organized and secure from unwanted access, this will work great for you. Here's what I like: -Good size to tuck into a closet without taking up a huge amount of space -Listing pictures are actually pretty accurate depicting the size. Looks like they didn't photoshop stuff into the picture, that's really the size of the shelves and interior as shown with firearms. -Feels relatively sturdy -Adjustable inserts and a removable shelf (not adjustable; your choices are yes or no) -Carpeted walls/door -Easy to program the lock -Comes with a USB thing that you can use in the event the batteries run out while locked -Door opens 180 degrees. Seems like some similar products don't open this much -Additional storage shelves on door interior -Two pockets on the door interior for handguns Some things that aren't dealbreakers, but might help when considering this case: -The walls aren't super thick. I'd imagine it would stop your average home invader as I doubt they tend to bring an angle grinder with them. It also would probably stand up to a prybar as the bolts on the door are pretty sturdy, and it'll definitely keep kids or others out that you don't want getting access. -Not unanticipated, but maybe helpful info: it doesn't weigh all that much relatively speaking (neglected to weigh it myself after arrival, so I can't confirm the listing's claim to weight). Even with stuff in there I would think a somewhat strong individual or a couple of people could pick the thing up and haul it out, but that's why you bolt it to the wall. -Pockets on door are made of a kind of nylon or something like that. They feel like they're pretty solidly attached to the door so they still work just fine, but not as strong as I had hoped; they sag just a bit with a pistol in them. Again, they still work, I was just anticipating something a bit sturdier -Door re-locks after a few seconds even while it's still open, so if you didn't leave the handle in the open position you have to put the code in again to retract the bolts and close the door All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. Will it keep your guns totally safe from theft, fire, or other disaster? Probably not. But it will be safer than older gun display cases that maybe your dad or grandfather stored their firearms in, which are essentially china cabinets for guns with easily breakable glass. It does exactly what I want it to do, so overall I would recommend this if the above info sounds like it'll fit your needs. ... show more

This gun safe comes FULLY assembled meaning all you have to do is unbox it and you are good to go. Similar gun safes around this price range unfortunately you have to assemble yourself which usually takes an hour or so which really ruins the value. This on the other hand came fully assembled to my surprised and built like a tank. I opted for a thinner safe since I only have 2 rifles and this does the job perfectly. It has pistol gun holsters on the side and a compartment up top to store ammunition. Feels sturdy and well built. Highly reccomended ... show more

    • Small Adequate Budget Safe
I recently inherited a small collection of firearms and the small gun safe I had for the single pistol I owned wasn’t going to work. Looking for something quick and cheap I found this and…well…it’s fine. The case is relatively low gauge steel but the locking lugs are fairly decent. It has a backup external battery pack for the electronic lock as well as a backup mechanical key, which looks fairly easy to pick via a bump key (although I didn’t try for fear of breaking it) It holds 3 rifles, a shotgun, 3 pistols, some ammo, and a couple of cleaning kits and it’s all a tight fit. I had to take the pistols out of their protective plastic cases as those would not fit. The shelf is a little flimsy as are the foam supports but I got it all working. Overall it’s a small budget safe that will keep long guns and pistols secure from children but would likely not stop someone determined to get into it and had a little bit of lock knowledge or hardened tooling. ... show more
