So I ordered this for my uncle so he could store all his guns in one place instead of having them all over the house in weird bags and cases. I was a little scare at first because this safe comes disassembled and I didn’t know if I’d be able to put this together, but it actually turned out to be super easy. The safe is sturdy and very good quality and well made. It fit into the space exactly and it fit all his stuff perfectly and comfortably. Now, he says that he will not be using the keypad because he’s paranoid of getting locked out, so he’ll only be using the key. With that said, I played around with the keypad and it’s very convenient to use. There’s also a way to charge it from the outside if it ever dies on you. It’s not super heavy and not like a vault or anything so it needs to be mounted or you can just move it around like a filing cabinet. Once mounted though, it’s fairly secure and should keep your guns safe from the average intruder. Overall, I think this is a great safe for organizational and mild security purposes and it’s definitely great quality for the price. ... show more

I knew that based on other reviews that this safe wasn't a 100% fool proof unbreakable safe. But I've seen others out there for more money with less features and strength. So I decided to go for this based on the price and overall positive reviews. Below are my list of Pros and Cons: Pros: - Great price for this size safe. - Metal isn't as thin as some may lead you to believe and in fact appears to be thicker than other more expensive safes of this kind. - Option to open with a key. - Option to open w/ an electric keypad - Wide enough to fit at least 4 rifles - Felt lined interior - 3 foam organizing inserts for the rifles. Uses friction to hold the organizers up. - LED light inside that stays on for a couple seconds upon opening the door. - 3 shelves in the door - 2 handgun pockets in the door - Can be secured to the wall or floor Cons: - It's light, if you don't secure this to the floor or wall properly, your thieves will carry it away. - Keypad does not light up and is not backlit. If you have to open this in the dark, good luck if you don't have a well let area. - LED light inside turns off in 10 seconds, it's almost useless, I put it as a Pro as well because at least they tried. - Too shallow for any rifles w/ scope attachments. Can only fit non scoped rifles. - The felt lining is nice, but if you like using magnetic pads to hold other accessories, you can't. - Foam organizing inserts serve no purpose if you are storing scope mounted rifles since you have to store them at an angle they don't even touch the inserts. ... show more

There is all sort of gun safe available on Amazon. However, 90% of those are for hand guns only, and thus when you have long gun such as riffle or shotgun, your choices are a bit more limited, especially if you don’t want to break the bank. This safe seems to be the perfect candidate for me. It looks nice and goes along perfectly with my room’s black furniture. Lot of space in there to store several hand guns, rifle and shotgun too. But anyway, here are the main points about this safe for those of you interested: GOOD 👍 - Looks nice and professionally made. - Two safety/bypass security style keys included. - Up to 8-digit programmable combination. - Silent mode: So that your safe don’t make any sound when you operate the digital pad (useful in case you have an intruder in the house). - Can store up to seven hand guns. - Can store ammo as well, in well-made shelves. - Fit long guns, such as riffle, shotgun…etc. - Light that turns on automatically to light up the inside of the safe when you open the door. - Emergency battery pack included, that allow you to keep using the digital pad, in case if the safe batteries are dead. - Four mounting bolts included, to allow you to solidly fix the safe to the floor or wall. - Made of strong folded steel. - Not too heavy to move around (when empty). EDIT: after over a week of trying to get ahold of KAER. No phone number available and super difficult to even find an email address associated with the company. No reply, no solution. Just stuck with a non functioning and damaged safe. Dave your time and money and go with a different product! Shipped fast, arrived damaged and bent out of shape. Instructions were bad as some of the other reviews state but it wasn't hard to figure out. Locks function with key but the electronics have a mind of their own. Took me 20 minutes to try and set a new combination password as the keypad wouldn't react at all. 2 sets of new alkaline batteries just like they recomend. Finally it started working and the programming was acting as described in the manual. It worked great and I left it alone for several hours. Came back to check it out and it was acting crazy again. Won't function at all now and just beeps at me. I knew it was a cheap rifle locker essentially but still disappointed. ... show more
