Overall, it's a good gun safe, definitely worth the price. The steel plate used is not too thick, but that's understandable.The gun safe is well made, the edges of the various steel plates have no sharp burrs and the dimensions are precise, so it is easy to assemble.The combination lock is very sensitive and can open the gun cabinet quickly, which is very important. OK, it is a 4 star product because, for the money, it does what it is supposed to do well - a gun CABINET. It is NOT a safe. It is also not fire or water proof. Again, it is a cabinet and it is thin gauge steel so...it can easily be pried opened if somebody really wants to get inside. That out of the way, the yanked star is because the installation instructions are garbage. There are two Youtube videos that cover the cabinet's installation and between the two they will fill in the BIG mental blanks that the paper installation booklet leaves behind. Would I recommend it - yes. Is it worth the $$ - yes. Small tip, if you want to add 'some' fireproofing, you could cut fireproof drywall and fit them on the inside. Would provide 'some' protection but I'd think that the cabinet would melt eventually. ... show more

What would be a TLDR for this safe? Impressive quality for the price. I've purchased a different safe before, but its dimensions were misrepresented - and only one rifle fit, nothing else. This one has been a game-changer. It fits not only 3 rifles and several handguns easily, but also my entire stock of ammo. You have your own stock, right? ;-) Assembling the thing was a bit of a mission, took me a solid hour, but honestly, it was pretty straightforward, especially after watching the video. You can find it at the top of the product page, with the rest of the photos. Once it was all put together, I could feel how sturdy it was, and the fact that you could anchor it to the wall internally. Genius move. Now, let's talk about bang for your buck. This bad boy brings a ton of features to the table without breaking the bank. And can we take a sec to appreciate how slick it looks? Just a heads up though, the advertised capacity might be a tad optimistic, but hey, that's par for the course with safes. No, it won't fit 10-12 rifles, but if you have that many - get your self a proper safe. I'd call this one a "metal cabinet" instead. But for most people, it'll do the job and then some. Over sturdy lock cabinet for your firearms for the price. Obviously, it will prevent quick smash and grab jobs but anyone that has time in the willpower could get into the case. I don’t like how the bottom piece is not screwed in it just free there so anyone can get in through the bottom if they rip it off your wall. The instructions are very unclear on how to assemble the case, and none of the parts are marked. my case had a quality assurance problem with it. The interlock bar was not installed correctly, so the safe would not lock. Customer service did respond within 24 hours of me filing my request, but I discovered the issue before they could diagnose it. overall, for what you get and what you pay for I would say it is on par. if you’re worried about your stuff being stolen or if your case is going to show up and you’re gonna be able to not have any problems with it, I would not get this case. I will get this one if you just need something to put your firearms in to prevent quick smash and grab jobs. ... show more

First of all, it arived dented on a crucial part, which I did not notice until it was almost entirely assembled. By the way, assembly is incredibly terrible, the directions are pretty much useless, the parts are not labeled or numbered, the screw holes are off center, it wobbles around the whole time you are trying to screw anything in and as for the screw driver it comes with, use your own, the screwdriver stripped (THE SCREWDRIVER NOT THE SCREW) on the third screw. finally, the bottom does not actually screw on so if you dont bolt that thing down, you can just kick the bottom on its side and it will pop out (or rather into the safe). basically you can break into this thing with a swift kick in its rear, so if you do get it, bolt it down. Better yet, don't get it and make a pirate map of your stuff instead. ... show more

Great gun cabinet for the price. Was easy to put together. The light on the door is absolutely useless, I'd suggest picking up a couple led tap lights. I'd also recommend picking up a peg board hanger kit. There is one available on here for $19 that's 250+ piece, gives you the option to hang pistols and storage cubbies to put small things in. Overall definitely worth the price, very fast shipping, would buy again. ... show more
