I thought I'd try these out and then recycle the old warn bags ➽ The Bags: ⦁ My first impression was the thickness and strength of the material used for these bags. The material is thicker than my last set of bag, No Doubt. Plus they appear to be a lot better made, and when filled with soil they feel sturdier than my last set was. ⦁ All of the stitching seemed to be in-place and intact. The materials are decent and the handles feel secure with or without soil and/ or plants. I would say that, The Quality is very Good. ⦁ The Size: The width and the height of them seem balanced and not awkward like others I've had. However, they seem to be a little shy of 5 gallon bag to me.... but not a lot. ➽ Price at Time of Review: $14.89 / 5 x (5gal) Bags ➽ Dislikes / Issues: ⦁ None ✪➽ OVER-ALL: ⦁ Other than they appear to be slightly smaller than 5 gallon bags. When I first opened the package, I thought that these are small for five gallon bags. So I checked the dimensions and they match what the seller says. When I calculated the volume of a cylinder, these hold 4.9 gallons. In my picture, you can see two of what we call “five gallon pails”. The picture on the left shows a white five gallon pail in one of these bags. On the right is your typical five gallon pail. So, it turns out that what many typically call a five gallon pail, can actually hold 7.3 gallons. So, these are five gallon bags (4.9 gallons is close enough). The bag quality is good. The seams are stitched well and there is additional material sewn in where there will be stress on the bags, particularly in the handles. These fabric bags are nice because they are easy to set up. Water does not collect in them as it eventually seeps out through the fabric. These bags last for many years. When growing in bags, it is easy to keep weeds out. Being raised up a little compared to a regular garden bed, you don’t have to bend over as much. These are good quality garden bags. Just don’t be disappointed in the dimensions. A bit late for this growing season, but these seem like perfectly adequate grow bags for next year’s growing season. They are reasonably well-made and, having test filled one with soil, seem sturdy enough for being lifted by the handles should you need to move them.
