I have the Z6, S9 and now this. If I am ever to buy another coffee machine, this would be my choice. My other machines have many more features (that I very rarely use). If you’re looking for a short term coffee solution to get you through a few months of great coffee, this machine is for you. Easy to use, very convenient, makes a great cup of crema. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, just straight espresso and coffee which is exactly what I wanted. I’ve been diligent - religious even about replacing the filter on time, using official Jura tablets for descaling and cleaning. Over the last few weeks, coffee started to come out of the spouts slower and slower. Now it won’t make coffee at all. It’s clearly clogged somewhere. As a last ditch effort. I’ve run 2 back to back cleaning and descaling operations (yes using official Jura tablets). Nadda. She’s done for. Jura support has been useless. Placed multiple calls and no real results. I’m sure if I take the whole thing apart piece by piece I could fix it, but that’s not what I do or how I want to spend hours of my time. So I spent $200 a month for 7 months of great coffee. Funny to think I could have actually saved money going to the local coffee shop every single day. ... show more

Update - I opened it up - cleaned out the gunk and cleared the lines by hand. It’s working again, but for how long? Was great for 8 months, then clogged and leaked. Followed the recommended cleaning and descaling, but nothing helped.

This is my 3rd Superautomatic. I've been using this Jura E4 for about a month. I previously had 2 Schaerer machines. I wanted to order this one in black but that was unavailable so I got it in white. It looks great and probably better than black anyway. I only drink cafe American which to me is a very strong black coffee and an occasional espresso. Why waste money on bells and whistles you're not going to use? It make a nice smooth cup and espressos as well. The temperature is preset but not on the hot side. I preheat my cup filled with water in the microwave for a minute on high first otherwise the first cup is too cool. Nice machine. ... show more

These machines made hands-down the best coffee I've ever had outside of a coffee shop. Unfortunately, both of the ones I purchased broke within 2 weeks. The first one clogged itself up, despite being set around 25% of lowest setting for fine vs coarse grind. The second one snapped some plastic gears as it was dumping the coffee puck after making a cup of coffee. After returning them I am now using the ENA 4. Every morning, I wake up upset, bitter, and resentful of the life I’ve created for myself…I walk downstairs, break a toe or two on crap toys that my kids leave everywhere, pass by my wife grunting “why? Why? Why?”… BUT then… I make my coffee, step outside, take a sip of that hot, bold taste of love slide down by throat, and I think to myself “yes, on this day, yes. Life is worth living.
