Case feels very sturdy and wraps the tablet in a rubbery shell similar to a smart phone case. The keyboard connects magnetically and is very easy to attach and remove which is exactly what I wanted. The tablet case stays on when the keyboard is detached, and has a kickstand type flex back which is very sturdy and supports the tablet both horizontally or vertically. I was specifically looking for these features so I can use the tablet as a movie screen on a plane without consuming my entire tray table (like some other folding cases do). When you do need the keyboard, just connect it and you are good to go. Couple minor complaints: 1) it has an on/off slide switch - I think it would be better if it had an on/off push button so you push it to turn on, but then it would turn itself off after some time of no use, or when you close the pad. I've already forgotten to turn it off a few times now. 2) It has a pen holder built in which is very nice, and holds the pen firmly in place - this works great when transporting it in a backpack or something so you don't have to worry about the pen falling off the magnetic holder. The problem with this pen holder is it is very tight, and it is near impossible to get the pen out of it after you put it in without using some sort of tool (a pen, pencil, paper clip, etc.) to pry one side out. You can't fit your finger in there because the entire width is as narrow as the pen (they should have put a wide grab area in the middle so you had a place to grab the pen). Overall form, function, and price are all great for this case - assuming it holds up. ... show more

So... i researched for a long time, bought a similar one, returned it... This one works.. it is light enough, the keyboard works great and stays protected in it. Easy to separate it and "paste" back together magneticaly. And, i can use it vertically or horizontally.. Pen also goes on back or more securely under the screen. Perfect? maybe not.. but does what i needed.. ... show more

Start with the things I actually like of this case. 1.) The sides and edges of the tablet are all covered by rubber with cutouts for speakers, mics, etc. Some keyboard/rotating cases seem to only cover the corners. 2.) The keyboard portion of the case can separate from the screen portion. Super nice as it doesn't require the keyboard to be at a fixed distance relative to the screen. 3.) The keyboard itself feels nice to type on with generously sized keys and sufficient travel. Entire thing is backlit and the bluetooth itself works well. Keyboard supposedly has up to 80 hours of use time and up to 100 days of standby time. Haven't had it long enough to test how long the keyboard lasts but can update review later if its hugely lacking compared to stated specs (aka, <10 hours of use time). 4.) You can remove the keyboard from the rest of the case if you just want to use the tablet in hand. Makes the tablet noticeably lighter than holding the tablet + keyboard. 5.) The stand functions are solidly implemented and I'm not worried that the tablet will fall over during use, least on a hard surface. Horizontal orientation works at many angles. Vertical orientation only safely works at 1. 6.) Has a secure storage location for the pen so you won't be worried about losing the S-pen. Things that could be improved. 1.) Storage location for pen is somewhat of a hassle to access, usually requiring removal of keyboard in order to "poke" out the pen from the back at the location where the keyboard magnetically attaches to the case. And while there is a cutout on the back next to the camera for where the pen normally magnetically attaches to the tablet for charging, there's nothing extra at that location to keep the pen securely attached. My S7 tab book case had a flap that held the pen in its charging location. 2.) The "hinge" or really, pleather flap that attaches the keyboard to the tablet is pretty flimsy, resulting in the case cover frequently not covering the entire screen. This issue is hardly specific to this case but I'd like for the cover to stay covering the screen a bit better. A bit more peace of mind when putting the tablet into a backpack. 3.) The rubber/plastic that goes all the way around the tablet to hold the tablet into the case has probably around 1mm of extra height resulting in a small amount of wiggle. Most cases I've used have a much tighter tolerance. So given the price that I paid for the cover which is a fraction of the official Samsung book cover, I think its worth the money. ... show more

I loved this keyboard addition to my tablet. It fit perfectly and also offers protection. I love the magnetic flap that comes over the outside of the keyboard and the lighting the back display offers if I am in a dark room. There are several short cut features on the keyboard which is nice. Easy to type and keys press smoothly. Every now and then you dont hit the space key correctly and it will skip it but it could just be me. Love that I am able to put the tablet both ways as well. ... show more

When closed, I found the keyboard doesn't cover the tablet well and doesn't stay over it. The power button is in a recess that can make it hard to access and turn on. The micro SD card slot is covered with no access to it, you need to remove the case to access it. Finally the USB C slot is a little small and can be difficult to plug in. Functionally, the keyboard seems to work, have yet to see how long the charge lasts though. ... show more
