We’ve tried every bed on the planet and our 14 lb kitty refused to lay in any of them for more than 5 mins. I think she may have been getting too hot, not sure. The pieces were not perfectly aligned which made things a bit difficult to assemble. Easy enough, but after competing I had to do some adjusting to make it so all legs were even. One leg ended up higher than the rest. After some adjustments it was perfect and my kitten loces lounging in the sun using her new hammock. I imagine that it will be difficult to clean if I have to remove the hammock part from the tubing to clean it, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. ... show more

Got this for my cat who spends a lot of time outside. I live in the south and our summers get hot, I was hoping this will be cooler than laying on a solid surface. It was easy to assemble and seems like it'll last a while.

I ordered one and after putting it together and seeing the cats using it right away I ordered a second. I ordered the same one but these are not the same , although similar. The second one's hardware was ridiculously difficult and would not go together so I used the leftover screw and not from the first to finish it, hopefully it holds? ... show more

This is my cat's new favorite bed. He has several different styles of beds around the house but since setting this bed up a few weeks ago he's been using it exclusively. It seems like he enjoys the saucer shape, he likes to lay in a little ball and this bed contours to that shape. It's also very easy for him to get in and out of, and they make soft wool liners you can add to it in the winter for extra warmth. I ended up buying a wool liner for it for the winter but haven't used it yet since it's been 90 degrees here. As you can see in the pictures he even likes to lay under it when it gets too toasty. For reference to size my cat is about 9 pounds. He hasn't had any issues with his claws on the mesh lining. Assembly is an absolute nightmare, even with the YouTube video the manufacturer includes the link to in the box. It took me an hour to put this little thing together, when I was expecting it to take maybe 10 minutes. Even their video is awful, you see more of the person putting it together than you do the actual installation process - the camera is too far from the pieces to really show them. I'm pretty sure they used different screws in the video because the ones included are barely long enough to hold the pieces together. The box includes a small screwdriver but what it really needs is either a wrench or pliers to screw the nuts onto the bolts. Some of the pieces refused to be flush with each other no matter how much I tried, at one point I was even leaning on the pieces with my knees to try to get them to be flush and it didn't work. Once I was able to get the pieces flush *just enough* to start screwing them together, I noticed there was no way I was going to be able to secure them by hand - the screws are so short for the pieces that only maybe one or two threads of the screw were visible above the connected pieces. The person in the video was able to screw them by hand, definitely not the case here. I ended up needing to screw it on with pliers, and the nuts are so small the pliers kept slipping off them and scratched the black off the metal legs. Sigh. Eventually I was able to get them on tight enough where I was comfortable it wouldn't fall apart, but really they should make the screws just a few threads longer to help with this. And if they are concerned the screws would be too long and hurting any cats they should include some little rubber coverings for protection. It's an easy fix that would save the person putting it together A LOT of time and hassle! I included a picture of the instruction booklet so people can see what other customers are complaining about. They really need an overhaul of the instruction manual. But would I buy it again? Probably yes because my cat enjoys it so much, but I would pay someone else to put it together for me so it wouldn't leave me frustrated for the rest of the day. ... show more
