Ok- Let's start with what's in the box: you get 2 paint by number canvases, a short instruction sheet, and a small magnifying glass. Inside of EACH canvas, you will get a paint by number guide to follow, and a sticker of what the finished painting will (should? Lol) look like. You will also get (inside of EACH canvas) paints, a set of brushes, and a guide sheet. I took pics of everything in ONE canvas in the set for you above. (I did not take the other one completely out because I am worried that I will mix up which paints go with which pics ). The canvases are also very large. See how they are just about as wide as my coffee table? Well, unwrapped, they also take up half the length. I highly suggest buying a canvas board to to use for these paintings, which should also help to flatten it out. Notice that inside of the brushes packs are some screws and metal plates in with the brushes? Are they perhaps to put the canvas on a wooden frame? I don't know as I'm not an artist- hence the paint by numbers! Overall, I really cannot believe how much comes in this Adult Paint By Number Set. I am also surprised by the size and sheer detail for these paintings. I tried to get 2 pics of the painting guide for you, too. I see why the magnifying glass is required. I have multifocals and still need the magnifier for some numbers! I'm not gonna lie- I'm a bit intimidated by this set as I haven't done a paint by number since I was 10, which was decades ago. I am going to start out with something smaller (and perhaps a bit less detailed) first and then move to this... But I am so excited to do these 2 paintings! For what you get in the box, the asking price, and given how much entertainment and relaxation you'll get from such art projects, this Adult Paint By Number Set is a solid 5 stars. ... show more

I really appreciate that they rolled the canvas instead of folding. This prevents creases that are nearly impossible to get out. These are quite large, and the kit comes with everything you need doubled -- one paint set with brushes, magnifier, and instruction sheet per canvas. I was semi concerned that I wouldn't get enough paint for the larger areas, as the paint holders seemed small, but you actually get MULTIPLE of the same paint number, in that case. The paint brushes feel sturdy without their bristles falling out. The paint is surprisingly nice quality, though still requires a double coating to fully cover the numbers. I like that the canvas is slightly shaded to the correct color to help with coverage. ... show more

Canvases are thick and of decent quality. The paints also have consistent texture and smooth -easy to apply. The kit came with a small sticker showing what the finish painting should look like. It is a bit too small to be of much use to me, but it came with a nifty magnifying card to make it easier to read the small numbers in small areas. I like the brushes that came with the set. They have small pointy tips which are great to fill in many small spaces on the paintings. This is my first time trying paint by color and I think that it would be better if more techniques are provided. For example, I just learned that I should have applied the color of the background first, and fill in negative spaces next and then the actual objects. Also, to fill in from light to dark and from one corner to the other: top to bottom o left to right. I provided a photo of the paint coverage after first application and the second coats. I added a little bid of water to make it glides smoothly, so that diluted the paint a bit. So far the colors I used are in the same tone with what the photo of final products. The designs of both paintings are quite intricate with lots of organic shapes, so it requires a sturdy hand, which is why i think this set is meant for a bit more intemediate skill rather than beginners. Overall, I am quite happy with the product and the value is excellent. I think it will keep me busy for a long while! ... show more

Approximateiy 2700 tiny sections of the canvas need to be filled with paint to complete just one of the two paintings in this package! This is truly a project for an adult with a lot of patience! The canvas comes unmounted. Mounting it would help assure that the paint isn't damaged. The paints come in tiny "Paint Buckets." It is recommended that one start with the highest number, to lowest numbers. Hopefully those small buckets contain enough paint for the whole project. These came in packaged beautifully! Individually rolled around the paint pots/brushes and sealed in a plastic bag, then stored together in a cardboard box! The sections are nice and clear, and in addition to a paper legend for each, they've also included a magnifying card, which I've never seen in a paint by numbers kit! ... show more

This is a fun paint by number set. You get two in the pack, so you could partner with someone to spend quality time painting together. These are great taking on camping trips, I love to sit at the picnic table and enjoy the nature sounds while painting.
