  • Works for vole season in NorCal
I tried repellents and another type of "tunnel trap" but this was the most effective. Whenever one gets in, the trap doesn't miss. Oddly enough, I did see two (out of 15) instances where the vole actually turned around as if it got the bait and turned to leave. Either way, the trap got it. They are easy to set and bait - just keep your thumb on the lever to ensure that it doesn't snap on you while you're baiting it or messing with it. You can actually bait it (we use a small piece of apple) while it's disarmed, arm it, then close the cover. Sometimes closing the cover can jar it and the trap will spring shut. If that happens, it's easy enough to arm the trap through the provided "window" but you may need to also reposition your bait. Overall these are very effective and I've caught 15 in 2 weeks which has helped reduce the damage. Now if I could only get the ones under the lawn... ... show more

  • Works, tricky to set
It is a bit tricky to set, but it worked well. Humans:1 mouse: 0 Bonus, didn't have to touch the rodent, trap reusable, reset and ready for this one's friends and family.

  • For American mice only
This trap has been keeping me very frustrated. When I just started using it I put an almond in it as bait, bit the next day all that had happened was that the almond had disappeared. Then I tried a peanut, which was sitting more tightly in the opening for the bait. Same result: no mouse in the trap, but nut gone. Peanut butter then? They would have to sit on the trigger to lick it out of the bait opening I figured, so surely I would catch it then? Nope... Peanut butter gone, mouse still running around the kitchen. And just now I walked into the kitchen and saw the mouse running thróúgh the trap! My conclusion: this trap is only suitable for fat American mice, not for slender Caribbean mice... ... show more

  • Effective
I installed covered glue traps and two types of covered snap traps (I have pets, so needed covered traps). This trap caught three mice in one day (nothing in the others). I like that it is easy to see that the trap has snapped —red means no, green means “got it!”. I’m buying more—hopefully the mice problem will soon be history! ... show more

  • Not reusable
The product worked the first night but was too big for a mouse. The mouse went after bait from back.once killed and got stiff was unable to get mouse out of trap to reuse unless I tore body parts-ughh.I like the mouse house type traps because zi don’t want to touch rodents.Had to throw out after 1st use-high cost basis. ... show more

  • works pretty well
Traps work well. You just have to place them in the right spot. for voles just place them in the runs of just in front of the hole.

  • 100% Success
I’ve tried all sorts of traps. While the good ‘ol Victor wooden traps are still a reliable go-to, these are an excellent upgrade. I put out four traps of another brand in two locations one night with 50% success. However, this brand the next night was 100% success—all four locations had a mouse. I like these because it’s super easy to dispose of them since you just have to use the trigger to release them. Another win is the bait (peanut butter) is still good for another go around. Whereas when other traps are tripped the bait can be eaten by other critters. ... show more
