  • Amazing!
Color: Gray Orange Size: 6.5 ft, Fiberglass rod
This tent is awesome! It took only a couple of minutes to set up and kept the wind and light rain out. It’s perfectly fit for my Chevy and is so compact you can keep it under your seat. I highly recommend a truck bed air mattress as well. It was the most comfortable camping set up I have ever used.

  • Easy to assemble and great quality
Color: Gray Orange Size: 5.5-6 ft, Fiberglass rod
I love this. I use it almost everytime I go camping, it’s super easy to assemble, it takes less than 10 minutes to assemble. This has been through snow, rain, sunshine, dirt, mud everything and it’s still in great condition. I love the window feature and I love how perfectly it fits!

  • Good tent - fits BAK Revolver cover, bad tent poles
Color: Gray Green Size: 6.5 ft, Fiberglass rod
I have a 6.5’ Ford F150 bed with a BAK Revolver X2 Tonneau cover with Thule TracRac rails. To install I rolled the top fwd, put the tailgate down and added to slit tennis balls to protect the BAK opening mechanisms from cutting the tent. I found that the tent does fit nicely over the rolled top and the cross poles fit/slot into the Thule tracks. I did find the tent fabric does stretch more taunt at the front due to going over the toll but I was able to sleep comfortably inside (I’m 6’2”) . The tent sets up pretty easily. I set the first two (cross) poles with the tent on the ground. I pop them into the pockets and lift the semi erect tent onto the bed. Please watch the straps with the hooks so the don’t catch on the sides or tailgate as you lift. Once up , bug before strapped, I insert the remaining long and short poles. Now the problem: the poles are quite cheap and have a thin elastic string to keep them together. I found that in the evening that the string on the long pole were found snapped. Evidently, after I left them in my truck (in their package) during the day (on the floor) the heat (outside was 103 degrees - likely hotter inside the truck ) heated up the metal pole attachments and melted the thin strings that were in tension over their edge ) even though they were used once for a test set up in cool weather and carefully put back in their pouch. The second day I left the pouch in my cooler. Although broken I managed to use it as it was in compression, but was a pain. In short, good design , a bit thin fabric (but ok for price), decent straps, very poor poles with crappy thin elastic string. But does work with my set up. ... show more

  • OK product with the exception of the fiberglass poles
Color: Gray Orange Size: 5.5-6 ft, Fiberglass rod
**UPDATE REVIEW** I originally gave this product a rating of 3 stars. I am updating that rating to 5 stars for the customer service provided by the company. The product itself still rates 4 stars. The reason for this is that the company sent me a replacement tent saying that it had improved parts. This was not necessarily correct, however they get an "A" for effort. I still had to modify the crossover poles which were too long by about 4 inches. This was a fairly simple fix requiring the disassembly of the poles and removal of the excess length. Still a very good product for the price. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Here's the reason I gave it 3 stars. When I first tried to set it up, both the crossover poles cracked. They were clearly just a shade too long and brittle. Rather than return the tent, I opted to repair the poles by disassembling them, cutting the broken portion off (about 5 inches from both poles), and reassemble. The slightly shortened poles fit much better, but the aggravation rates a lower in my opinion. On the plus side, by the time I repaired the poles, a cold front had pushed through and I got the opportunity to see how difficult it was to set up in 20mph wind. While difficult, it was not impossible and I managed to attach it to the truck successfully. Good experience as I see it. The tent would have scored easy 4 maybe 5 stars if not for the poles. I'll probably have to replace them eventually. Reasonable price. ... show more

  • 10 degrees, in the snow, worked great.
Color: Gray Green Size: 5 ft, Aluminum rod
I just got this tent. I took out to Bend Oregon. Super easy to set up. Temps dropped down to 10 degrees at night, 20 in the morning. I had a slight rain in the evening, started snowing 11pm-6am maybe 1/2 inch. The tent stayed dry, I’m 6’3 my feet were touching the tent wall but it didn’t get wet on the inside. I took it down about 6am, it came down really easy. Loved the tent. ... show more

  • Update-foyer rod snapped in 30 mph storm; Lacks engineering thoughtfulnes
Color: Gray Green with Awning Size: 5.5-6 ft, Aluminum rod
20230831 update: Foyer rod snapped where two sections join together in 25-30 mph thunderstorm. When this occurred, I had already sought shelter in my pickup truck passenger cab having barely returned to the vehicle from visiting the venue and the storm had begun raging, I didn't want to deal with unzipping the tent rear flap and stepping up to get in risking time delay, possible operational snafus, and perhaps personal injury while heavily raining, although I have a trailer hitch bar extension with a separate step plate installed to aid elevated access. Had to use three nylon cords to tie broken rod pieces together so camping trip could continue. The interior stayed dry. Manufacturer is sending a complete set of replacement rods from China ETA about 3 weeks which means Labor Day trip is not happening with this broken tent. So guess what, I am ordering a different manufacturer pickup bed popup tent, automatic opening that can be installed and taken down by one person without having to assemble multiple rods, inserting them, and expanding/opening the tent which can be accomplished by one person but it takes quite a bit of care, practice and time. I did this by myself in 102 Fahrenheit degree temperatures and hot sun for the first time it took about an hour! You could do it quicker with practice, but it is really cumbersome to do it by yourself - and any wind can really interfere with a perfect plan as it did for me. Fortunately maybe, the wind actually blew the tent open from the rear so I didn't have to force the rods to loop/bend so much myself, even having a step ladder to assist with the height (don't assemble on ground first like manufacturer instructinos say, because one person will really have a tough time lifting an erected tent onto the truck bed!) The JoyTutus with all its sectional rods, different lengths and flimsiness of fabric to insert the rods, then erect it, and get the ends into the corner fabric hold loops sounds easy but it really is a bit much for one person who wants to enjoy the trip, not spend 1-2 hour messing with the tent after having driven hours to the destination. Imagine assembling the tent at night! And take down I just left it in a clump in the truck bed because from prior use, couldn't get it to fit back into its carry bag, plus fabric was wet so just let it dry out. It still is laid out drying after a day, haven't even tried to put it back into its carry case. Another storm-damaged pole aside from the foyer was bent not broken probably about a 65 degree bend I am not able to straighten it even by trying to hold it down and stepping on it, certainly can't bend back straight with just bare hands. Guess another reason why manufacturer is sending an entire rod replacement set. I read either in a posted comment, or in the setup instructions that manufacturer will replace one set of rods under warranty. The rods are hollow aluminum with a stretch cord inside holding the pieces together, they are not fiberglass so once bent, very difficult to straighten, and a break occurred in the inner hollow insert sleeve that holds two sections together. I earlier posted this tent lacked a way to hang a ceiling light inside, so this last time I used a paper binder clip to hold the front vent flaps together and so the zipper loop wouldn't open when I hung a light there, which worked for me, but if you need access to your cab rear window, it is bound closed. Having the zipper open means the loop would be closer to the ground and insufficient light spreading throughout the ten. A third item is the fabric where the foyer pole exits its cloth sheath ripped, maybe due to a slight tug when the fabric was wet?! This shocked me, it's not as if I was forcefully removing the rod when taking the tent down. For this reason, I project the useful life of the tent at best 2-3 years and be careful not to tear it more. Original review: Using this tent as I write. Irritatingly lacks an inside roof center loop to hang a light or fan. Front vent zipper closes upwards so anything hung on the handle loop pulls it open. This leaves the vent open for bugs there’s No working Velcro to keep flap shut. Support rods snag easily in sleeve fabric and the multiple rod sections easily pull apart during installation. Inside pockets are sewn in seams where bed rail covers are and pulled taught you can’t easily put or retrieve items from the pockets. Side vents have single one directional closure should have put two handles on the zipper so you can open or close in either direction. Two positive features are 5,5. Foot height and awning. But the awning isn’t large enough to be any more thsn a rain drip deflector not a sun block. Bring a separate tent for sun cover. Had great expectations for this tent but it’s missing thoughtful conveniences. ... show more
