  • Compact and works great

Daughter's orchestra need them for class so I bought a 4 packs so we could help split the cost with her classmates. They are compact but has a bright easy to read screen and the pitch tracking is fast and actual.

  • Easy to use, very compact

It's very small and clips on to your headstock. Makes tuning easy. If tuning a guitar, be sure to select "G" at the bottom for guitar, as it can be used for other devices like a mandolin or banjo. There are other fancier models with color, but you don't need anything more than this. I tune every 1-2 sessions before playing, and this does the trick. I liked this so much I bought a second one for my second guitar and it was on sale for even cheaper! My only complaint is the screw on the back for securing the battery. You need an eyeglasses screwdriver for it because it's so tiny. I wish they'd use a sliding, locking function instead, like your typical TV remote's battery cover. But I had an abundance of those tiny eyeglasses screwdrivers so not a problem for me. ... show more

The only “issue” - which isn’t really an issue - is there’s a tiny screw that needs to be tightened after the battery is in place. I’m using a very tiny screw driver, but it isn’t going in straight. However, the tuner has a nice bright screen and is very easy to use.

  • Great little tuner for the price
Number of Items: 1
I bought this tuner because my child is taking orchestra this year and required a tuner. We are musicians in the house but none of us had a clip tuner so I figured, for the price I might as well take a gamble on this little guy. It came in fast and was easy to understand. Install the included battery, tighten the screw, and then push the single button to power it on. The same button changes modes for different instruments, G for guitar, B for Bass, V for Violin, and U for Uke (2 settings for the different sizes). Hold the button down for 3 seconds and the device powers off. What is amazing is this devices is really small, about the size of a fit bit with a small but sturdy clamp on the end. The LCD is really bright and easy to read. Blue when out of tune and bright green when in tune. Would buy again for sure if needed. ... show more

  • I really wanted to like it...

First off, this thing seems really well-built for what it is. Seems on-par with, and certain parts likely surpassing, the quality of some of the other major brands that I've used. I was genuinely impressed with that. And, because of that, I thought that maybe this was an awesome little 'diamond in the rough' sort of device. But when it comes to actually doing its basic job, tuning, it just doesn't get the job done well enough. It's slow, and jumps around way too much on the same string or in finding the correct string, even in a fairly quiet room. That's coming from a lot of experience in tuners. And, that is part of what seperates the better ones. They will practically all have those difficulties sometimes, but the better ones can usually find their way back fairly quickly. It also just didn't seem to tune with much precision, even when seeming to work correctly. And, the way that the power and selector buttons are combined just doesn't seem to work well for practical use. It's way too easy to switch it into a different mode unintentionally. So overall, it's probably going to be 'fine' if it's all you have, and considering the low cost I'll go ahead and keep it just to have something around. But that's honestly about all it is, just one to leave in a drawer somewhere and hopefully never need to use. ... show more

  • A low cost tuner is bettetr than I expected
Number of Items: 1
This low cost Joyo tuner is a no frills way to tune several instruments. Pros - Low cost, Small, Chromatic, Battery included, and I like the way the head can swivel. Cons - No frequency adjustment (locked at 440), Hard to tune the low E string on both basses and guitars, only works off of vibrations no mic and not as functional as a Snark. Overall-A great little tuner for the price. But nothing fancy. ... show more
