  • Wow pretty impressed they all came pretty much alive and lively
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 250)
So I have just placed my 2nd order for these crickets because I am quite impressed on how long they are still living. Maybe a couple died in delivery but that was it! It has been 10 days and I still have some left. very few died but for the most part very much alive and lively! If you feed them and make sure you clean out there container for all the poop and dead crickets they will live long enough for a couple weeks thats for sure. So my next order I will probably go with a bigger batch then 250 perhaps 500. The goal is to purchase one every 2 to 3 weeks who knows maybe 1 month that would be ideal! ... show more

  • Best in the business
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 250)
These Crickets have arrived twice with zero, and I mean zero, dead. After transferring the remaining to seperate tank for later feeding, they continued to thrive for several weeks with regular water and gut load. Wouldn't buy from anywhere else.

  • Disappointed.. :(
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 250)
I've bought from Josh's frogs plenty of times and in the past they were such a reputable seller. I loved buying my crickets from them, however this last time I was highly disappointed. Bought a 250 count of crickets and over half of my crickets arrived dead on arrival. I reached out to customer support and they were amazing as they sent me a whole new box at no cost due to the issue. The customer service was great, however the replacement box of crickets survived 2 days before a horrible smell wreaked through my cricket keeper. I hesitantly opened the box to reveal every single one of my crickets dead, slimy, wet, and maggots coming out of their dead bodies. Gnats were flying out of the container, it was absolutely disgusting. The smell was horrifying, but then I was left with 0 crickets to provide for my frogs. I still feel gross thinking about when I opened the container to get hit in the face with the smell and gnats storming out and then seeing moving worms in my dead crickets. The clean up process it took was also not worth it.. I buy in bulk for a reason but this left me cricket-less and I had to last minute scramble to a local pet store to get my frogs some food. Not sure how I feel moving forward buying from them because I don't want to find myself in the same predicament every single time purchasing crickets. I think I'd rather have over half my order arrive DOA than be slimy and smelly with 0 crickets to save. ... show more

  • Alive and well in my area.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 250)
So, I just got my order today and it was a day earlier than expected. I honestly was kind of worried about the crickets coming in dead since I read the other reviews but I took a risk anyway. I saw reviews on how boxes came in dead with barely 20 crickets being alive but that's not my case. As I'm opening the box they do have the holes on the side plugged. Upon opening the box I see a ton of crickets alive and if i were to count as I'm taking them out I have only found about 10-7 dead but they look like they've been dead for quite a while. I would say definitely worth the wait and price because at petsmart this would run you about $30+. I live in Las Vegas and the temperature so far right now does not drop below 40°. They still added a heat pack just in case, so depending on where you live do not take these comments to heart. If it's freezing weather where you live and below 30° obviously the chances of crickets surviving are slim. I'll definitely be getting another shipment for my bearded dragons, off to feed them now! ... show more

  • Healthy but these guys are LOUD
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 250)
These crickets arrived healthy and on-time. The only thing is, I don't know if most were male or what but these are like 10x louder than the equivalent number purchased at the pet store. They were difficult to deal with. I'm relieved that they've all been eaten.

  • Lively adult, large crickets.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 250)
Shipping live crickets in late June heat, 93F is difficult, i was hoping for 50% survival. However, I received 100% live healthy crickets. I could not find a single dead cricket. Impressive! I am feeding a pileated woodpecker chick. A survivor of an EF 3 tornado that downed the nesting tree. These crickets are a life saver. The woodpecker is released back into the wild, ... show more
