For the money this can't be beaten, reading some of the reviews before I purchased , gave me the impression that it had some flaws. I upgraded my porta potty sea ray head to this electric toilet. Not an easy task as there's a lot of work involved with fresh water and black water holding tank installation in a boat model where such option isn't offered by the manufacturer. So took a chance, set up a temporary system and bench tested the unit before doing the full install. I found that the suction bringing the freshwater in was fine and the outlet shredded the toilet paper fine and worked exactly as it should. Yes it's a little loud, but hey when you use a toilet on a boat everyone knows anyway 😉. So did the full installation, hardest part is always the large sanitation pipes as they are awful to work with. But this unit works fine with no issues , the bowl clears of water with the flush and so no water slipping around on the ocean. See video for operation, like anything it always sounds louder on a video, but the noise is more than acceptable and the plastic seat seems fine. Just make sure the gripper clamps on the hoses that are already attached are tight, as is the union fitting. I made some mounting plates from marine board, so as to ensure a firm fitting, just using self tappers to Mount to the boat shell I fear wouldn't last long.     • Pump that pulls clean water quit working
I purchased this toilet for my floating cabin. It seemed to work fine for about the first 50 flushes but after that the pump that pulls fresh water in slowly stopped filling the toilet. Now it will not pull any fresh water into the toilet. I have been using a bucket filled with water to flush down the waste and to have clean water in the bowl. Is there some kind of additional pump that I can use to make the toilet pull fresh water in?? Other that that the product is really nice. ... show more

Shipping was super fast, packing - as factory (good), value was excellent. This item is a budget item and durability of parts unknown. The base that the china bowel sits on has a hairline crack externally but should not interfere with function.These electric budget toilets do not have a water control valve should levels creep up in the china bowel. I added a ball valve to the water in line . I can now slow down or shut off the in water line to empty the bowl, just as a manual toilet, a $15.00 additional expense.     • Quality issues with seat
The seat uses a plastic bolt/nut arrangement. Before I could get the left nut snug enough it started stripping (popping out of the thread) - and I was just using my hand (no tools). As a result, the seat isn't positioned exactly over the bowl - very annoying. I don't recommend this toilet if your plumbing arrangement uses a pressurized water source. If you do, you will need a solenoid water tap to stop your house water from filling the bowl and running over (the head does not stop this) - this is something you have to add and wire in yourself. The lack of a water-only button prohibits flushing the system without running the macerater, and the lack of a macerator only button means you are drawing water the whole time if you things back up a little bit. I used my old Jabsco controller, along with a Jabsco solenoid switch, to solve that problem. It's an inexpensive head, and you get what you pay for, just understand the limitations. ... show more

    • Doesn't Flush Down Big
not sure how much you can say and should say but let's try. As comfortable it sounds to not use a hand flush all the time, flushing a gazillion time and using a plunger is way worse. I just can't get my allerwertesten around that thing to work properly. if it doesn't kick my breakers out because it uses more amp that my induction plate on the boat then it refuses to properly flush. it's also built for tiny people, I know there is a bigger version, but come on, everything is already small on a boat, do you really have to built a toilet for hobbits. anyways, good that we have two toilets and I can use the good old hand pump one :) ... show more

    • would buy a different mfr if i had to do it again...installation tough. quality seems good.
Toilet looks good and seems to work once we were able to get fittings tight enough. Which was a challenge as all of the fittings are in millimeters not inches so everything is off just a bit. No mention in the instructions about whether you could use PVC glue on the fittings or that pipe clamps were recommended. Was disappointed that there was no shroud for the pump as shown in the picture. Time will tell how it will hold up. This installation took my experienced handyman husband over 8 hours. Next time would look to a toilet with US measurement fittings specified. Multiple trips to the Home Improvement and plumbing supply store ... The menagerie of fittings to get it to work resulted in a less than elegant installation appearance . Knowing what I know now I would have ordered a different toilet. ... show more
