I have a very compact guest bathroom and the toilet is right up against the tub (1970’s code). I Could not have the handle on the left side of the tank, which seems to be the most common. I read a review that supposedly six contractors on a big job used for various toilets over six months and they rated this one quite high. My other Bathroom has a Kohler And that’s been terrible for thoroughly flushing, solid waste. The Swiss Madison does a much better job and it’s a nice looking. I love the design, the 1 piece. It’s easy to clean the exterior. However, 💩 sticks to the inside of the bowl. I have to constantly clean the bowl. This is the first time I have had a toilet that the 💩 sticks to the bowl, it’s awful. This wasn’t an issue with my old toilet. Also installation is difficult. Very little room to work between the wall and the toilet. The seat isn’t bidet compatible, I have had the seat break one bidet. Without bidet bumpers, which come off if you get cleaning solution on them. Without bumpers it forces the bidet down and therefore doesn’t spray where needed. ... show more

    • Beautiful looks, hard to install and lousy seat

I bought and installed two of these in my house. Toilet is beautiful and gets compliments for looks. It works alright too, haven't had any clogs or issues in nearly one year. There are 3 concerns. 1. Installation can be difficult if there is something next to the toilet like a shower door or vanity. Most small bathrooms have this issue, so watch out. 2. The toilet seat is uncomfortable as it is narrow and not flat. So, no resting for a long time. 3. Dual flush buttons aren't well aligned to the inside areas they need to push. The top lid doesn't snap in place. So you may find that the buttons are stuck once in a while. You adjust the lid a bit and buttons start working again. Seller is also offering a left or right flush option, which may not have this problem. Overall, great price for a good looking piece. Hope the manufacturer sees the feedback and improves the product for even more traction. ... show more

The worst toilet ever… do not be fool by the look. It looks pretty but worst than an American standard $89 toilet . I had it only over two years, it has clotted every couple of months. Now the unit broke completely, drain all my well water that causes me $500 to repair the well and better yet, the part to fix this $400 dollar is in back order till the end of sept. Talked to customer service basically the message is too bad” I’m stuck with this toilet or buy another one”. Guess what this is the only Swiss Madison I got and will be the last. ... show more

Self-cleans very well. Every once in a while, manual cleaning is needed, but nowhere near our old ones. Sleek design, and installation is easy once you do a few. Installation tips: If you use wooden support to elevate the bottom of the bowl above the flange bolts, then slide in but not all the way so you can attach the water line first. Then slide in further to match the bolt hole on the toilet to the bolt from the flange. Then drop one side slowly as you thread in the bolt, then repeat with the other. I loveeeee my toilets :) super sexy and sleek. I ordered 1 of these and it came in a perfect condition, it was packages amazing. My contractor had no problem installing it but you need space on the sides to connect it inside. My other toilet came in few weeks later and it was broken, I was on the crunch time and emailed Swiss Madison. I had an email and a call to follow and I got a new toilet quick and they reimbursed me for the broken one. Also one of the parts was a different color and they shipped that part right away so customer service is amazing and Im thinking of getting my 3rd toilet from them and recommend it to others. It’s so easy to get upset and write a bad review, but I suggest to talk to them first before making quick decisions. We are all human and things break on the way here, it comes by UPS and accidents happen, doesn’t mean the toilet is not worth 5 stars lol I’m very picky and I have a modern style so before I bought these toilets I did an extensive search. For this price, size and what it offers, it’s one of the best on the markets. I’m in real estate, I’m also an interior designer so I know my stuff. This toilet is beautiful and heavy, requires two people to install in order to align it to the bolt as the skirts obstructs the view. The contractor has to replace the bolts and reposition in order to have it aligned to the holes correctly. This is not a job for DIY person, use a professional that has lots of experience. Furthermore, now that I have owned it for over 7 months, it’s easy to clean, but i am not impressed with the quality of the ceramic used. It’s predisposed to toilet rings and there are always some human waste left in the bowl regardless if you use the number two option. I always have a spray cleaner handy along with a well used toilet bowl brush. If you can get an American Standard or Kohler version, get it. I have since marked it down from a 4 stars to a 3 stars. It’s way too much money for something stylish, hard to install, and requires lots of inside cleaning. ... show more
