  • 6.6 lbs? only in some positions
Style: Ball Head 3K
So i got this to put onto a new desk boom I got that wouldn't go into the position i needed. I thought well if i can get it in this position i can get a ball head to move it into the right position. everything was rated for the total weight of my camera and lens (5.x pounds). I had it on its side and it started to sag despite being as tight as i could get it. then even worse the stand it was on started to turn. my camera was too heavy for the boom arm AND this ball head in that position. maybe it only supports this in certain positions. I have a bunch of these joby tripods with the same ballhead thought it would be good. oh well. These are amazing ballheads, just not as amazing as I had hoped. Pretty much don't have these fight gravity and you'll be fine! ... show more

  • Good option, and the size is right
Style: 3K Stand
It’s built well. One of the legs came apart when I torqued it too much, then it popped back together and works perfect since

  • Joby BallHead 3K - Ideal small lightweight ball-head
Style: Ball Head 3K
An ideal little ball-head for use with a mono-pod to capture stills or rapid video movement. This little ball-head is well made and locks securely and has a slot to move the head/camera to a vertical position. It features a slide in locking base with a built in level that is quite secure making it easy to mount and dismount the camera. The base is marked in 10 degree intervals with a larger line marking each 90 degree mark; there is no degree numbering. It is very light weight and small and won't add much weight when carried around. The only downside that I can see is that the single adjustment knob, while large and easy to grip for locking and unlocking, is not easy to adjust for tension when moving the camera. However, when the tension is released the base has a buttery smooth dampening movement that works very well for object tracking. This has not affected me in that I almost always use the head fully released and lock it only when not in use with the camera or when stored in the vertical slot when I use the mono-pod as a walking stick. This little ball-head will support 3Kg (6.6lbs) ... show more

  • Feels Really Solid
Style: Ball Head 3K
I use this tripod head with the Elgato Ring Light because the included ballhead is really terrible. I actually already had a Gorillapod laying around so I was able to just pull the head off that and order another one for later. This ballhead is fantastic. The actual ball and cradle are made out of this really nice metal. The plate that connects to the camera and the piece that it sits in are plastic, bit its not a huge deal though because that feels solid as well. The tripod head has no problem holding my camera in place and it doesn't move around at all. This has one of the best knobs I've ever felt. I know that seems dirty but for real the knob is super smooth and fluid yet it tightens the whole thing up nicely. The inclusion of the level on the camera plate is also a nice touch because it helps me get my camera nice and even when I want to mount it. I have 2 of these now and they both work fantastic for me. ... show more

  • Perfect for the Switchpod
Style: Ball Head 3K
Short version: this is the perfect accessory for a Switchpod. It is small enough to keep the setup nimble yet provides the exact functions I needed. Long version: I recently got the Switchpod for my Canon M50 and wanted a ballhead/quick release plate that did three things: 1) Small size. The whole point of the setup is to stay small and nimble so I didn't want a large, complicated ballhead with lots of knobs. I wanted a ballhead/quick release that felt right at home on top of the Switchpod. 2) Snap in quick release. Almost all quick release options require an additional knob to tighten down. I wanted something that I could snap in easily. 3) Basic ball head movement when I want it but steady when I don't. Most of the time this will be locked in to basic landscape orientation. But I did want to be able to change the angle or go into portrait orientation for the few times that will happen. I am happy to say, this seems like the perfect answer to all my requirements! I think this is a must add for anyone who has a Switchpod. I plan on getting a second just so I can have the same snap-in quick release on my monopod as well. ... show more

  • Seems sturdy for now
Style: 3K Stand
I like this tripod I bought as a stand for my action camera which isn't very heavy at all. I have found that after a small amount of use it is beginning to wear the joints down a little to where they are not as stiff as they use to be. Buyer beware it might not last very long.

  • Super versatile, but how long will it last?
Style: 1K Stand
I bought this to use as a base for the Hohem iSteady Pro 4. This gives me the ability to do complex panning shots from various vantage points. So far it seems to work great, but I'm sure it will eventually fail. The question is, how long?

  • Handy Product
Style: 1K Stand
I bought this JOBY Gorillapod to replace the original JOBY that I thought I lost. Then the day it arrived, I found my original JOBY. So I returned the newly purchased one because it was bigger and heavier than my original JOBY. Still, this and any JOBY Gorillapod is a great product; handy, convenient, flexible and sturdy enough to support heavier cameras securely. I just prefer the smaller and lighter Gorillapod to use with my smaller, lighter pocket camera. ... show more
