Features

  • Rotatable Horizontal Center Column: The center column can be used vertically (0 /22.5 / 45 / 67.5 / 90) or horizontally. Photographers can more easily achieve panoramic shooting, macro shooting and low-angle shooting. Please note: the calibration lines must be aligned to lock or the column is unstable
  • Practical & Adjustable: the length of the 4 legs can be easily adjusted with a screw-type knob. You can flexibly adjust the working height from 24 inches/60 cm to 75 inches/191 cm in a few seconds, which is easy to carry. The central axis screw can be quickly disassembled and converted into a monopod or cane to provide another convenient shooting method
  • Precise & Flexible: The bubble level can help you quickly find the balance point of the rack. The specially designed ball head is equipped with a 360-degree panoramic view and a metal rotating ball to ensure the accuracy of photography, so that you can get the perfect shooting and breathtakbing panorama every time.
  • High Quality Structure & Strong Stability: The maximum 25mm large diameter magnesium-aluminum alloy tube, the load capacity is up to 22.04lbs, and the anti-slip foot design provides safety and stability support for DSLR cameras
  • Upgraded Design: The angle of each leg can be flexibly adjusted, so it can be used on uneven ground, steps, rocks and other places. With hooks, you can hang sandbags or other heavy objects to increase stability; the 1/4-inch screw hole under the bubble level allows you to use more photographic equipment, such as magic arms, monitors and LED lights

  • Professional tripod packed full of features!
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and was in the market for a tripod or monopod when I came across the Geekoto X25. One of my favorite things about this tripod is the customization: - Cost-effective Seriously, the price of this tripod for all the features it has is insane! - Durable aluminum alloy frame Feels incredibly sturdy, I'm not in fear of it falling over with my expensive camera and equipment. - Extremely compact, only 24" when folded up and fits perfectly in the included carrying case. This is pretty important for those who like to travel. - Detachable leg transforms into monopod, selfie stick, and walking stick. It's super easy to adjust on the fly with the tool-free design. - adjustable height, up to 75" How much higher would you want to get? - Works vertically and horizontally I love using this tripod for smooth tilt and pan shots! Overall, I really recommend that you give this tripod/monopod a try! It allows you to capture amazing shots confidently and is great for travel. If you have any questions just let me know! ... show more

  • 4.5 Star. Great versatile tripod.
Before getting this tripod I used a Mefoto Roadtrip Tripod for 5 years. Which I really enjoy, and trust using. These are my thoughts on the tripod after using it for a 2-3 weeks now. I mostly do landscape and cityscape photography professionally. This is a very versatile tripod, with a good price. Pros: Gets very tall. Gets very low with included short column. The column pivots which can be very useful for macro and product photography. Ballhead is good. No shifting when locking it down. The finish is good. The leg locks/latches are spring loaded which nicer than than push pull ones. It is sturdy tripod The legs lock without issue. For the size of tripod it is not heavy. comes with carry bag and accessories. Cons but not deal breakers: The center column is not locked in place. When you tighten down the center column lock you can still turn the column. It takes a bit of force, so it's not like the wind will turn the center column when tightened down. Just something to be aware of. The column nut can get a little sticky sometimes. I am hoping that will go away in the time. It would be awesome if the center column nut was more like the one on the roadtrip tripod. I wish there was a softer, gripping material on the ballhead lock. I plan on leaving the short column on most of the time so I will be putting a drop of breakable lock tight on the bolt that holds the ballhead to the center column. When the short column is placed on the tripod. The locking plate gets pinched between the legs, not allowing the legs to fully close, so I replaced the locking plate with a smaller one. Other than those minor issues, the tripod is great. ... show more

  • Geekoto X25 Defender
The Geekoto X25 "Defender" is a bargain priced compact tripod that offers lots of versatility. Its polished metal components are complimented by attractive red anodized accents. This model is constructed of quality aluminum. While the legs are a little thin, they offer similar stability to larger carbon fiber brands and additional stability can be provided by using the spring loaded bottom hook. The Defender has a lot of different configurations. One of the legs is removable and can be screwed to the ball head creating a monopod. If you pull up on the center column, an elbow is revealed and becomes a horizontal arm. This can be reattached on the bottom to provide very low angle shots. If the horizontal arm is used at the top of the tripod you should really add a counter weight to prevent tipping (- just necessary for the heavier gear). The tripod's legs can fold flat on the floor for low angle work or can be folded up in reverse toward the ball head. Ideal for travel, the X25 only weighs 4.39 lbs. and folds down to 18.5". Extended the tripod tops out at 75", but there is also a 3-3/4" column tube extension that will get you up over 78" -or even 80" if you skinny up the legs. Overall, the Defender is an ideal choice for the photo enthusiast and can make a good second pair of sticks for a pro shooting mirrorless or even a medium sized DSLR. ... show more

  • Cost more than I wanted to spend but worth it
I needed a sturdy tripod for a DSLR camera and the one I had laying around was too flimsy to trust. While this one cost a little more than I originally wanted to spend, the features it had made me get it anyway, and I have no regrets. This thing is solidly built. I like the twist release on the legs rather the the more common flip locks. The 360 adjustment is really *smooooth* when you turn it. The horizontal arm option is what really sold me on getting this one. It works out great for macro photography. Between the leg adjustments, the ball mount, the horizontal arm option, being able to flip the center post upside down, and the 360 degree spin, you can lock a camera into any position you need. The most difficult thing about using this tripod is figuring out which screw to loosen when you want to make an adjustment - there are so many! The twist locks on the legs and on the center post took me a while to get used to as there is a gap between when you start turning and when it engages to start releasing. I'm sure it's by design, but just not something I've experienced before. The tripod has a good amount of height to it, and it looks great too. This is currently my favorite piece of camera equipment that I own. ... show more

  • Solid tripod performance
The ball head and height are probably the biggest benefits I found using this tripod. The ball head has great flexibility and allowed me to get rotation and angles even on uneven ground. The height was also very nice, much taller than my previous tripod and good since I'm over 6' tall. The aluminum build is a bit heavier than I was used to but it gives it added weight to keep secure in windy conditions. I wish the instructions were more clear and I was uncertain on usage for a couple smaller pieces but it didn’t seem to impact performance. The versatility of the design allowing for monopod and inverted shooting are nice options as well. Solid tripod! ... show more
