  • Well designed Tripod
Style: TP-M200
Let me just say WOW to my latest edition to my personal home photography addition, the Neewer 79”/200cm Video Tripod, Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod Stand. It arrived very quickly and as with all Neewer products, it was packaged professionally and without waste. I am always pleased with the Neewer commitment to smart design and using recyclable materials. Upon opening, I found all components professionally wrapped and in a secure and stylish carrying case. It is a well made and functional case that has dual carrying abilities, by hand or with the shoulder strap. The zipper is full length which allows for easy access to remove and replace the Tripod. I am now the proud owner of several Neewer photography pieces. I am extremely impressed and pleased with my Neewer Tripod. It has so many user friendly options and the "panning" abilities really free up your hands and allow for complete rotation and filming. I am currently using it also for still photos and I find it is exceptional in this regard also. As with all Neewer products, it is universal and works perfectly with my personal camera and components. The design on this Tripod far exceed my previous purchased brands. The entire leg system is the extremely heavy duty while still being light enough to carry. The leg extensions are user friendly and open and close with a superior ease compared to my other models. The height on this is beyond compare but when it is sitting at standard level, it does not take up any extra room or space. It does not appear bulky or cumbersome and is space sensitive. It is also pleasing to look at overall. This tripod takes minutes to learn it's functions and capabilities but serves as a high quality piece of equipment. I personally highly recommend this Neewer Tripod to anyone needing to upgrade to a better quality tripod that is affordable, well made, well designed and has great functionality. ... show more

  • FANTASTIC Quality, and for the price???
Style: TP37
I got this on sale for about $70 on prime day, and this tripod is a BEAUTY! Lovely build quality, made of solid materials, is incredibly smooth along both axies, and is utterly fantastic in every way! Buying it full price doesn't even equate to its quality! One of the easiest tripods I've used, while still feeling very professional! I love it! ... show more

Needed a substantial tripod to hold a teleprompter, perfect. Very strong, compact, easy to adjust. Great product, great value.

  • Bang for buck
Style: TP-M200
So coming from a basic tripod to this one was awesome. It feels much sturdier, both from the legs and the mount itself. The X-axis rotation feels buttery smoother and there's minimal shake in the legs. The Y-axis rotation feels smooth and sturdy as well, much better than any $30 tripod you'll be looking at. With that said. For beginner-amateur photography, this rig may be a little overkill. It's not really "over the shoulder" portable, kind of heavy and bulky, and the slider-mount-thing is kind of a pain to use (I'll get to that). For videography though, especially if you want to use a motorized slider, I would definitely recommend this product, as it's not too expensive (by way of professional tripods) and it's pretty easy to use. Now, onto the material: I can't say much for the legs, they feel great. The head on the other hand looks and feels like it was 3D printed and sanded down? Doesn't affect the overall usage of the device, just gives off a cheaper feel. Aesthetics, you know? The sliding mount also feels a little clunky and I kind of have to force it in and out of place. Maybe that's a good thing, seeing as how I shouldn't have to worry about my camera falling off. The carrying bag feels pretty good, standard feel I guess. Like I said, this is a more professional-grade tripod and due to the extra leg support it is heavier but very stable. In conclusion, if you're a beginner - save your money and grab the Amazon Basics tripod and just go crazy with that. If you're looking to up your videography/cinematography game, I would totally get this tripod or something like it. I'd really only get this tripod if you've got a heavy photography setup (landscape, wildlife, telephoto, etc.) or are doing videography with rotating movements, either quick or slow in any direction. ... show more

  • My First Real Camera Tripod
Style: TP-M200
My first real video tripod! I feel all grown up! Each year we do two classes featuring the yoga teacher trainees teaching round robin (~5 minute segment each), videotaping the class so they can watch themselves teach. We've historically retained a videographer, and I end up in the room working with the trainees on assisting. We've been having trouble finding videographers - last year's guy showed up without a tripod and ended up following the trainees around the room (good for social media, marketing, or art, but not what we want / need). Not really his fault; it's hard to communicate that we really don't want / need your A game, and a lot of the new / young / hip videographers don't really have the tools or equipment to put a camera on sticks and shoot an event. So this year I realized that I had (a) a perfectly adequate camcorder (woefully under-used, purchased during the pandemic as I worked to figure out livestreaming) and (b) a shotgun microphone (another pandemic purchase). I tried a cheapo tripod I had kicking around but way too noisy. So with the new tripod, a 128G memory card, and a mounting bracket to put both the camera and mic on the tripod, I'm good to go. Test run last week; the new tripod is super solid, pans / tilts with no noise, the mounting bracket does it's job, and the shotgun mic captures the instructor very well (I added headphones, also kicking around). I just need to work on my camera chops - simple zooming and panning as the instructor walks around the room. It won't be high art but it will be exactly what we need.... So this year, I graduate to camera op and somebody else can play yogi wrangler..... ... show more

  • Actually a good tripod.
Style: TP-M200
I have had a good time with this thing and just like most neewer products at the midrange price point, it’s punching above its weight in quality. I put a camera cage in this thing and not once did I feel like it was wobbly or unstable.
