I absolutely love this machine! I had been making and hand rolling my boba pearls by hand, which took 3-4 hours per batch of dough. This yielded 4 to 6 servings. Of course, I had to find an alternative method or give up my boba habit. I certainly can’t afford to buy them out and about now that they are trendy. The first time I used this product, it was able to roll up a quadruple batch of dough in about 25 minutes! Including cleanup, the whole process took around a half hour. Now I keep a big bag of boba pearls in the freezer to use as I wish, and I have enough to share with my friends and my (older) children. At first, I saw this purchase as a splurge, but now I see the value in it as a time saving investment that gives me the enjoyment of sharing a fun treat while having control over the ingredients my loved ones are consuming. So this machine does what I expected… sort of. I expected it to squeeze the water out of the dough. It did that. I also kind of expected it to not make noodles. It also did that. Can someone give me a recipe for tapioca flour that won’t result in dried out crap? For context, my recipe for it rn is; 1/2 cup tapioca flour, 1/4 cup boiling water. ... show more

My initial assessment was that this did not work that I asked to return it, after I made my tapioca starch dough and couldn't get it to come put of the stripper and couldn't get the board to roll bobba balls. However, after more research that seemed to suggest my dough mix was wrong (and offered a 3:1 ratio of tapioca to boiling water). This did the trick and the device worked like a charm on that dough.
