  • Great Product for the price. (tips for faster expanding)
Color: 48 Pack - Charcoal
I see people people with little or no common sense complaining about the product being not same as advertised. People please understand it came in a vacuum sealed package!!!!! You are supposed to give it time to expand for promised 1inch width. I ordered the 48 pack and when it came i could fit them all in my palms thats how tight it was vacuum sealed. If you dont like waiting for it to expand I have a neat trick for you guys. Separate them all and put them in the dryer for 10min and viola! everything is as advertised I have nothing to complain about it. ... show more

  • I think it should be named "Acoustic Treatment Foam".
For acoustic treatment, this product is excellent. And these are a fine budget option which perform well enough to deaden the acoustic reflections in my room to a great extent. I will say that labeling theses as "Soundproofing" panels is disingenuous. These panels will not soundproof your room. They do not completely absorb vibrations nor do they totally diffuse sound. They DO reduce reflections and absorb a majority of reverberations. No, adding these to your door will not save you from noise complaints by your neighbors. No, you cannot add these to your air conditioner to silence it. A lot of disappointed consumer purchases could be avoided by simply changing the name to "Acoustic Treatment Foam". ... show more

  • Dorm room decor
Got these for my dorm room common area, they look good and also help cut down on the echo in the room. Typically these are applied with a type of spray glue but since that isn't allowed in dorms, we were able to hang these using poster putty. Definitely allow at least 24 hours after opening the package for these panels to expand completely before putting them up. They are vacuum sealed in the packaging and will be smaller than the actual size. Update: poster putty didn't work well, search for nano tape if you need a removable hanging solution, it sticks to the foam like glue but is still removable from the wall afterwards without damage, a 100ft roll is only around $5 ... show more

  • A little trick for decompressing the tiles-
Color: 48 Pack - Charcoal
I’ll start my review with a little trick that I tried on a whim, and was very pleasantly surprised that it worked. These tiles come tightly packed like a memory foam mattress, and unbeknownst to me, it says they take 24-48 hours to puff back out. I saw other reviews sayin it took a whole week. I don’t have that kind of time, so I put the tiles in the dryer 24 at a time on “Delicate” setting with the lowest possible heat setting and a fabric softener/dryer sheet for 25 minutes. I’m not saying that everyone’s dryer will be the same or that this method would for sure be ok for everyone, but it worked like an absolute dream for me. In 25 minutes my tiles went from 1/2” to a full inch, and I was able to start my project. I hot glued them to poster board with a low temp glue gun. They seem to deaden the sound very well, and I’m pretty happy with them over all. I only gave them a 4 star rating because the decompression phase was hidden deep within the description, and I feel that sort of thing should be advertised more plainly in case people are in a hurry. The product itself functions as advertised and as well as one could expect for this price point. The only other drawback is that the tiles are not perfectly square. If you hold the tiles so that the lines are horizontal, the tiles are about a quarter inch longer from left to right than they are from bottom to top. So if you want to use them in a checkerboard pattern where you alternate the direction from tile to tile, you have to get creative to make it work. ... show more

  • Came as advertised
Color: 48 Pack - Charcoal
Product came just as advertised. Each piece is perfectly shaped and sized correctly so the panels align. I haven't been able to test the functionality, but I can already hear a difference in the room when just talking.

  • 1/2” thick at best!
Color: 12 Pack - Black
Shipping was as described, the product itself wasn’t. I waited 24 hours for these to expand and they didn’t move. Disappointing, returned and I am back to square one.

  • This is what I wanted
As described on the web page, these acoustic foams are compressed, which is what I expected, and I don't want to receive bulky packaging. I opened the package after receiving the goods, and they restored the original size when I installed it the next day. I am a music addict, I often buy acoustic foam to decorate the studio. It is very easy to install them. Don't stick them directly to the wall, because when you need to remove them, you may damage the walls. I used cardboard to paste the foams on it first, and then fix the cardboard to the wall. These products are inexpensive but very effective, I recommend. ... show more
