I have fed my dogs Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin Salmon for over 10 years, both for small and large dogs. My large dog actually likes the one for small dogs better for some reason. The price has gone way up and the 16 lb bag now costs what the 30 lb bag cost a couple of years ago. But everything has gone up, so I guess that is to be expected. My dog had staining and loss of fur from an allergy in his old food. So I switched him about a month ago. And I can see the changes already. His energy level and his temperament are pretty much the same. However, his fur is being restored to its original color. He used to have staining and streaks in his face. And on the white part of his legs. As well as a loss of fur on his stomach. It’s only been 30 days and his stains are almost all gone, and the hair on his stomach has returned. For years, I was into boutique type foods, thinking I was getting him the best. I can honestly say I was mistaken. Do not fear a big conglomerate making food as long as they don’t change the recipe.
